Originally built in the early 1900s and lovingly remodeled in 2018, Complejo de Closson seamlessly blends traditional Southwest design with modern touches. Each casita features unique details like wood, brick, and flagstone floors, thick adobe walls, exposed vigas, hand-carved cabinetry, and stunning hand-painted Talavera tiles. The outdoor spaces are just as inviting, with courtyards, patios, BBQ grills, seating areas, and firepits perfect for gathering under the New Mexico sky. Sofa bed linens are available upon request for a $25 fee. Off-street parking is limited and varies by house, with one vehicle allowed in a studio and 1-bedroom house and two vehicles in a two or more bedroom house. If you use extra linens for any air mattresses or sofa beds and have not paid the ‘additional guest’ fee, there will be a charge of $25 per linen set. Located near Santa Fe’s Railyard District, Complejo de Closson places you within easy reach of the city’s rich history, vibrant art scene, and renowned dining experiences. The compound itself has a story to tell—it was once a Chinese laundry, a slice of Santa Fe’s colorful past. The Railyard District is a large arts district with galleries, performance spaces, a cinema, restaurants, and antique shops. The Santa Fe Plaza is also nearby, about 0.7 miles away, offering many historical and artistic locations like the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis de Asissi, Palace of the Governors, and Loretto Chapel. Canyon Road is a short walk or drive as well, with many galleries and restaurants to explore. Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 7:00. Smoking indoors is not allowed, and you will be charged a $500 cleaning fee if you smoke in the house. Pets are not allowed, and if evidence of a pet is found, you will be charged a $300 cleaning fee.
