Part of a circa-1840 mansion, this home is renowned for its gingerbread moldings, lovely gardens, and the iconic Linden Tree. Guests will feel at home while stepping back into a time of elegance and opulence, with antique beams and gleaming pumpkin pine floors enhancing the historic charm. This completely private 1-bedroom apartment features an open living space on the first floor, complete with a kitchen, dining area, and a spacious living room. The easy-to-use gas fireplace sets a romantic mood, while the petite kitchen provides all the essential accoutrements, including a large fridge, dishwasher, stove, french-door air fryer, and Keurig coffee maker. Upstairs, the bedroom suite offers a queen bed, seating area with chaise and chairs, and a private bath. A comfortable workspace with a desk and chair is available both in the bedroom suite and the main living level. For family-friendly stays, a luxury Pack-n-Play or other children's furnishings are available for an additional charge, subject to availability. Stepping out from the Carriage House, visitors can stroll along High Street, Newburyport's mansion row, featuring Federalist, Victorian, and Empire style mansions leading to the vibrant downtown.
