The living room has comfy seating and views of both the front stream and back deck. A cozy den with a leather sofa and Apple TV/Roku is great for movie nights or an afternoon nap. A washer and dryer are available for guest use during your stay. One dog is welcome with approval and a fee. Located just outside historic East Meredith, you're close to attractions yet surrounded by nature. Within 10 minutes you are in the city of Oneonta with shops, restaurants, a mall and a movie theatre. Next door to Elena's is one of the last 19th century mills to survive intact - Hanford Mills Museum. For baseball families, the All Star Village in Oneonta is only 15 miles away and the Dreams Park in Cooperstown a leisurely 23 miles away. Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 8 AM, and outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum. This home is nestled in the countryside, and part of that charm comes with nature—including the occasional critter. While the exterior is regularly treated to deter pests, insects or mice may occasionally find their way inside. If you are uncomfortable with this aspect of country life, this may not be the best fit. Cell reception in the area is limited. It is recommended enabling WiFi Calling on your phone for calls and messages. This home uses a private well and septic system. Please do not use sprinklers, kiddie pools, or Slip 'N Slides, as these can quickly drain the well or damage the pump. Delaware County winters can be snowy and icy.
