Fallbrook Ranch Home for Rent 3 Bed | 2 Bath | 1,880 SF Ranch House with Complete Equestrian Facilities & Utilities Enjoy ranch living on a 2-acre spread in San Diego County! This ranch home located in Fallbrook is great for military families who want space and peace near base, horse lovers who need great facilities and riding access, or homesteaders looking to grow their own food. The property faces East with gorgeous sunrise and foothill views. Large oak and pine trees are throughout, with sunset views just a few steps above the house. The Location The property sits 15 minutes from Camp Pendleton's East Gate, 15 minutes to Fallbrook Rider’s Field, 20 minutes to Temecula, 35 minutes to the Oceanside beaches, 50 minutes to San Diego, 1 hour to Orange County, and 2 hours to LA. It is very easy to get to many equestrian facilities, horse shows, riding trails, and feed/tack shops. Fallbrook itself is a wonderful community with festivals, farmers markets, local artists, wineries, equestrians, and beautiful landscape. The House This is a single-level home with 1,880 square feet, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms – plenty of room for a family with foothill views. The home has a fireplace, ceiling fans throughout, and a large kitchen with copper countertops and two pantries. The house opens up through french doors to a lawn area and a palapa with outdoor kitchen – a great home for enjoying outdoor living! There's a detached garage for storage or projects, and the house runs on solar panels with battery backup, which keeps the electricity on if the power goes out. You're welcome to have up to 3 dogs or cats (no pit bulls or aggressive breeds). There is plenty of room for parking, with a maximum of 4 tenant vehicles allowed, plus room for RV or boat parking. We also can provide the house partially furnished. The Ranch The fully-fenced ranch has a partially-enclosed 5-stall horse barn with tack room, feed room, covered wash rack with concrete pad and wash sink, plus a sloped pasture and round pen. There’s even an outdoor shower and outhouse for you or your guests to use without having to go into the main house. You can also board horses in the unused stalls and create your own income! The Santa Margarita River Preserve is just 3 minutes away with renowned trails for horseback riding, hiking, or mountain biking. For gardeners, there's a large, organic garden area with greenhouse and garden shed, plus fruit trees. You can bring chickens or other farm animals – there's no coop now but plenty of room to build one. There is also an aviary and additional small barn/shed. Maximum of 6 horses allowed. The Details Utilities included are: wifi, electric, water, trash, and monthly gardener for weed control. You'll just pay for propane (runs hot water, stove, and central heater) and two-thirds of the yearly solar electrical true-up bill, if any. The property is on county water and a septic system. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, and fridge are included, as well as portable air conditioners (3) and plug-in heaters (they help keep the gas bill down). Also included is a subscription to the local newspaper and bi-monthly ant control. There is another renter in a separate house on the property, but all the ranch facilities – barn, pasture, garden, outbuildings – are exclusively yours to use. Lease terms are negotiable. Our preference is a 6- or 12-month starting lease with month-to-month after and a 2-month notice period. Renter’s insurance is required. Monthly rent is $4,700. Security deposit is $4,700 with additional $1,800 deposit required for horses. Additional farm animals must be approved in advanced. Occasionally the homeowners will be at the ranch (with advanced coordination with you) to continue landscape improvements to the property. Please email with a description of you and your intended use for the property prior to applying (if you have horses, would like to have other animals, use the vegetable garden, have an RV, etc.).
