This is an unfurnished apartment, available now, August 1st, 2026. It is approximately 400 square feet with 1 bedroom walk-in closet, small living room area; and a nicely sized kitchen with room for a dining table (area). The kitchen has a new sink, new (electric (4 burner) range, and new refrigerator. Cabinets are new as well. The bathroom is full, with a new shower unit, and sink. The apartment has ample windows, light, and the views are towards nature (green and a small creek). We renovated this apartment throughout the last 7 months, with new sheetrock, rockwool insulation and eco-friendly paint. We replaced most of the flooring. The house was built in 1931 and is a two-story home. The apartment is in the rear on the ground level. There is a garden area adjacent to the apartment with the potential for gardening, and outdoor seating. If you enjoy gardening: I would welcome and appreciate that. The apartment has its private entrance, one door in the front (coming from the driveway), and another door towards the back (garden area). There is one parking space (for a regular sized car). A small storage area underneath the house can be provided, in case you have extra boxes and would like to park a bike. Laundry appliances are not available, however there are two laundromats in Felton, very close by. We are in the south of Felton (6 miles from Santa Cruz, about 15-minute drive), close to the Garden of Eden, and the famous mountain biking trails. The apartment is about a 45-to-50-minute drive to Silicon Valley (and/or San Jose area), depending on traffic. The home is located within a quiet and very friendly neighborhood. Alongside the property is a private creek (with access to sit right next to it). It is a sunny lot. Perhaps you are familiar with the beautiful Henry Cowell State Park Redwood Loop, next to Roaring Camp: the entrance of Henry Cowell State Park (the big log on Highway 9) is just down the street, with stunning hiking trails. We are within walking distance to the ancient Redwood Loop. The home is within walking distance to the Felton farmer’s market (on Tuesdays), post office, and the Felton library. Felton also offers an incredible health food store (Wild Roots), a comfortable coffee shop (White Raven) among other little stores, and the Felton Music Hall (with live stage). Felton offers various outdoor music festivals at Roaring Camp (also within walking distance). You could walk or use a bicycle to get around town. I am in my 60s, an economics professor at De Anza College in Cupertino (currently only part time). I have been in the area for a long time, and originally from Germany. My son, in his 30s, stops by occasionally will visit upstairs. I am quiet, meditative, communicative, respectful, vegetarian. There are obviously a lot of other things I could write but it would be best to communicate via email, phone, or in person, if you are interested. Monthly Rent: $2,200. Security Deposit: $2,200.
