Your in-laws decide to surprise you with a visit, and since your apartment is currently, shall we say, 'a bit unprepared' for houseguests, you sagely suggest a lunch date instead. If you know the old man, odds are good he won't be satisfied without something local to eat, and you're pretty sure the Missus will insist upon some fruity drinks, the more 'exotic' the better. Lucky for you, the Jerk Hut Grill is only moments away. Offering both local flavorful cuisine as well as a wide assortment of fruity alcoholic concoctions, the Jerk Hut is far from as unwelcoming as the name might sound. The title refers, of course, the their legendary jerk-style meats and this is one Hut that is happy to give you the bird; in addition to the usual chicken, turkey and even game hen are happily given 'the rub'. More unusual items such as curry-infused veggie patties, oxtail stew and escovitched fresh fish round out the menu, ensuring a unique meal for all. While many hold their Cool Runnings Punch in high regard, the Jerk Hut's true liquid claim to fame is their extensive Mojito bar. The freshest of mint, pure cane sugar and an assortment of price-level staggered rum brands have helped the Grill maintain their crown as one of the area's 'go-to' spots for the refreshing libation, and you'll be hard-pressed to argue.
