  • Horrible management

    There are so many problems with our tenancy here. We were without air conditioning for 6 weeks in the middle of summer with no rush to resolve and no compensation for the significant inconvenience (very difficult to work from home - to be fair, they provided one and then finally a second room unit that allowed us to at least use a fraction of our rented space over this time!). In the final rental agreement you learn about additional fees like the previously mentioned valet trash service, which ...
    is both absurd and unhygienic, as well as common area fees. There is no possibility to move out early without outrageous fees. Additionally, ensure that you have fully documented the state of the apartment before and after as they don't apparently review the tenants's check in documents and try to bill for everything possible that was *ever* wrong with the apartment at the end of your tenancy. Overall, the worse experience I've had renting over the last 40 years across the US and the UK. Avoid at all costs.

  • Trash in the hallways

    Is this luxury? Trash always in the hallways? Oh we have a $25/month rip-off "Valet Trash" service, but that only encourages residents to just leave their trash in the hallways, leaking, attracting rodents... smelly. YUCK. Wish I could upload the photo, alas just walk around the complex to see trash bags, boxes, laying around.

    The management here is HORRIBLE! They are GREEDY, MONEY HUNGRY and have bo concern for people or their real world problems. AVOID IT, rent anywhere else! Their lease is a legal nightmare.

  • We feel so ripped off

    Alert: they will never open the swimming pool and sauna it seems. We've lived here almost one year, and the swimming pool was open for A VERY VERY SHORT TIME (so blink of an eye open and closed it, you would easily have not even known it's been open at all) once in the whole time we've been here. The sauna not at all. The whole state of New Mexico has definitely not had outdoor pools and outdoor recreation areas shut down this whole time at all. Read the Health Orders going back to last summer ...
    no less. I travel a lot WITHIN THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO, and every hotel I stay at has the pool open, and has for awhile now. So why not Allegro? How come they don't open the outside swimming pool, the outside hot tub, etc. despite that other places in New Mexico have? There may be and are maximum occupancy limits (again, check the Government's Health Orders dating back to the hot summer no less) dictated by the state in relation to Covid, but no excuse in my opinion for just keeping everything closed. In the end you must be aware that they use the luxuries to attract residents and to justify high rental rates, but don't provide many of the said luxuries (outside pool and outside hot tub, outside pool tables or chairs, or pool deck for sun bathing) and even when they seemingly can, and other places in New Mexico most definitely do. Since Allegro has not had to pay to keep the pool warm or hot tub hot, or much maintenance for that matter (due to zero use since we are forbidden from using the pool, hot tub and sauna) or pay for any electricity for the sauna, and a lot of other advertised amenities no less (since there are many amenities promised that have been withheld for almost a year!) you would think there would be a little rent reduction. That's logical right?! Not even close. And some tragic comedy here: they actually raised fees during this time by $25 dollars every month! And they offered to renew our lease, with a rental increase! *The maintenance crew is really nice and care about the residents though. They are great! It's the management that is so offensive to us with their lack of professionalism, and just natural wisdom with regards to how to treat people. This review is to warn you that some of the major amenities they advertise and want you to pay big bucks for (swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, etc.) are actually off limits and been for almost a year despite Health order allowing outdoor recreational area to be open with occupancy limits.

  • Horrible place

    Management is only there to rent the apartment. It is complete chaos here. The management constantly lies about everything. You may hear many things but none is true or it is happening. They don't consider any of tenant requests. They advertise that they have garage but that is not correct. For many months they may tell you that you are in the list but then there is never an empty garage available. Everything is old. It is noisy. Constantly you will hear your neighbor. This apartment is a mess in ...

  • Overpriced, staff is not helpful

    These apartments look so nice when you tour them and the staff seems friendly and helpful. Once you move in you notice that they spent money on nice finishes but had them poor installed. From gaps in the hardwood floors and around the outlets cut outs to leaking shower heads and over caulked tubs it is not worth your money. In addition the staff is nice when you are moving in but then they do not respond to your maintenance inquiries timely and they were not at all helpful to us when we relocated ...
    to another state and were in between apartments for the 30 days they said it would take to get us our security deposit. You would think a luxury apartment would come with great service, but it definitely does not. There is no reason to move into this overpriced place, which is why they have a number of vacant units that have amazing views of the mountains.

  • Over Priced

    The apartments are over stated as "luxury". Perhaps they are considered so, for New Mexico. The property is well maintained. Personal safety seemed secure, however, Security companies were in constant flux, and a problem of auto theft was evident by way of warning notices. "Package Service" is a requirement, not a true 'service'. Regardless of whether you are available/at home for a delivery, USPS will deliver packages to the office. There is not a way to receive your packages at the post mail ...
    boxes. The property states "non-smoking" community; this is misleading as well. The lease states smoking is permitted outside of the units. The property contracts with CenturyLink (inferior internet / phone service), and DTV - research DTV Customer complaints. This is indicative of the business practices of this property management. The contracts are not customer friendly; if you are a person that has a potential of unforeseen events, such as life and health changes and developments, you will suffer the consequence of inflexible contract stipulations that will put you in debt for early termination fees. The terms are non-negotiable under any circumstance. I had to move due to health crisis brought upon by incompatible lifestyle of a neighboring tenant and tenants companions. I presented the situation to management; the communications were inadequate, and the attitudes of staff 'indifferent'. Fortunately I was able to purchase a house in the midst of seeking solution to the situation, though the penalties were added insult to the myriad of disappointments in the decision to live at Allegro At Tanoan Luxury Apartments. I do not recommend : based on current rental prices, lack of justification to market as "Luxury", misleading market terminology, inflexibility of leasing terms, restricted service option. For less, more is available within Albuquerque.
