Read before you sign a lease here
February 3, 2024Please do your research on crime in the area before choosing to live here. My first year here I didn’t have any issues, but right after renewing my lease, my apartment and my neighbor’s apartment were hit by gunfire. One bullet went through my neighbor’s window and into her headboard. Luckily, no one was injured. I completely understand this was a random act of violence. My disappointment and concern come because the Bexley Management Team doesn’t feel it is necessary to inform the Apartment ...community of the crime that is occurring in their complex. I had to inform my neighbors what happened and warned them to be extra careful. This happened around 10:30 at night, and I have many times taken my dogs out for a walk right where the gunfire hit. Since then, I have seen an increase in police activity in this community, and on Christmas Day there was a murder in the apartment building next door to me. Again, no one was notified of the criminal act of violence. I’m unable to get out of my lease after all this has happened. I feel it’s my responsibility to warn others before moving here. This complex is more concerned with making a dollar than the well-being of its residents.Property Manager Responded

There are better places to live.
November 8, 2023In the beginning I had no issues. I've now lived at Bexley for a few months. My neighbors are constantly doing drugs in their apartment, the office knows about it and refuses to address the issue. The stairwells and breezeways are disgusting, dog crap everywhere. Office staff will blatantly lie to you. Save yourself the hassle and move somewhere that you are valued.Property Manager Responded

Be Prepared to Live Among Constant Litter and Dog Poop
October 1, 2023I recently moved into what was marketed as a "luxury" apartment complex, and unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. While the apartment's location is undeniably convenient, the overall experience has been far from luxurious due to the abysmal state of the grounds and common areas. One of the most disheartening aspects of this apartment complex is the appalling lack of maintenance. The grounds, which were supposed to exude elegance and sophistication, are marred by an ...abundance of trash and litter. It seems that management has little concern for the cleanliness of the property, as garbage and debris are scattered throughout the communal spaces. Seeing litter lining the paths and walkways is disconcerting, making it difficult to enjoy a simple stroll around the complex. Adding to the visual clutter are the patios of various residents, which resemble storage units rather than comfortable outdoor spaces. Residents have appliances, old furniture, and an assortment of junk strewn across their patios. This blatant disregard for the appearance of the complex not only diminishes its supposed "luxury" status but also creates an eyesore that is impossible to ignore. The discrepancy between the apartment's marketing and the reality is stark. The promises of a luxury living experience fall flat when faced with unkempt surroundings. It's hard to reconcile the soaring rent prices with the deplorable state of the property. The sole redeeming feature of this apartment complex is its location. It is conveniently situated near shopping centers, restaurants, and public transportation, making daily life more accessible. However, even the most desirable location cannot make up for the lack of effort put into maintaining the appearance of the complex. In conclusion, my experience at this so-called luxury apartment complex has been a major disappointment. While the location may be a saving grace, the persistent neglect of the grounds, the excessive litter, and the cluttered patios detract significantly from any sense of luxury. I would caution anyone considering this complex to temper their expectations and be prepared for a far less glamorous living experience than advertised.Property Manager Responded

Great Until You Move Out
April 14, 2022It's really sad that I have to write this because for the most part my experience living in Bexley was good the issues begin when you move out. I moved out in July of 2021. I received an invoice from them after move-out for carpet replacement. I contacted the leasing office and requested proof of the charges because the lease states no charges beyond normal wear and tear would be incurred. I was the only occupant of the apartment with no pets or children, but I lived in the apartment for 3 years. ...I never received any further contact from the apartments including the proof I requested so I assumed it was resolved, until it shows up on my credit report as collections today almost a year later. I contacted the leasing office today and spoke to Aimee who told me herself that there was no damage to the carpet beyond normal wear and tear but because I lived there 3 years and it was time to be replaced I was invoiced. " So essentially if you choose to live here long enough for the carpet to need replacing, expect that you will have to pay for it. If you rent here don't leave without a walk-through or you can expect to receive an invoice. This property group is highly unethical!Property Manager Responded

October 31, 2018I never write reviews but this just has me all pissed off!Their Rent specials are just to LURE you in but they are not guaranteed!!!The current special on their website is for $750 but they are yet to honor Sept rent specials that were going for $500!!Once you sign the lease (which btw you actually have to hassle to find out if you have been approved or not)and when the 1st months rent is due they will give you the run around about the "rent special" that was presented to you on their online ...application and also verbally confirmed by their leasing agents!!They will tell you that even though there is a rent special running ,the apartment you leased was actually not eligible!!!So if you get a 2bd/2ba they will say the special was for the 1br/1ba just so you think whatever the agent is saying is true.But its a LIE coz i have spoken to them on separate occasions and gotten very different information on what apts were actually eligible. The apartment features are ok but the incompetence in the leasing office is horrifying to say the least.Property Manager Responded

Nice looking until you get inside
September 2, 2017These are some of the best looking apartments I have ever seen from the exterior. And the layouts are great. The patios are huge and their package handling is great with Parcel Pending. That is where the positive's stop. Here we go. 1. This complex has had multiple management changes in the last 3 years. Every time they changed management, the apartment value decreased. 2. They soon let anybody move in here. At first when I moved in I felt safe. But towards the end, I was fearful of my ...belongings and well being. Police cars were always on-site. And people soon did not show any respect for the property (Trash, smoking, loud music etc..) 3. Once new management took over, they drastically decreased prices to increase occupancy. Soon a wave of people began moving in and at that point is when the complex took a turn for the worst. Roaches started coming into our apartment and a few of our neighbor's as well. Also since they decreased the prices for the new tenants, they tried to raise the rent for current tenants to cover the loss. Our rent would have increased by $70 while online they were listing our same layout for almost $150 less than our rent price. We ended our lease and I can tell you I have never seen a wave of people moving out at the same time. Everybody knew this place was declining. Every week I saw multiple U-Haul trucks moving out. We hired movers and they even told us that this was their 4th time moving people out that week from this place. They were amazed and asked why people are ditching this place. 4. Maintenance was hit and miss. For the most part they handled issues in a timely manner. But sometimes orders would not be filled at all. 5. The walls are very thin. From the bathroom you somehow hear people outside through your vents. If your music or TV is off you can hear your neighbors laughing and talking. 6. They do not provide ceiling fans in the common area. You must buy your own and they charge you $20 to install it. 9/10 you are not going to take it with you so it is a win for them. I advise that you run from this place unless you can find them when they are going through another management change and they slash their prices just to save money. Otherwise it is not worth it. Their are far better places in Allen just minutes south and even Frisco is also close. Do your due diligence and find a better place to live. January 27, 2017I Absolutely Love this Place! The apartments are gorgeous inside and out, wood floors, tall ceilings and I especially love my large patio. I have lived here for 3 years now and I've barely had any problems, the staff are awesome and the Manager Kelly is full of joy and very helpful with any situation I've ever brought to her. if your ever looking for a decent home with great amenities this is it, outstanding property and its not too pricey.Review from Apartments.com
Worst place ever
October 11, 2016This is the worst apartment complex ever! The management is Absolutely HORRIBLE! All they want is your money and are not willing to accommodate in ANY way. If you want your place to feel like home when you pull up every night, this is not the place for you. All the reviews are true. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and think it was just people with bad experiences making reviews. December 11, 2015I lived here with my family for about 13 months up until we purchased a house. This was by far more than an apartment, it was a home. The neighbors were friendly, the staff was always willing to help, the maintenance was amazing, they have an app where you can put in a request and they take care of it, usually within 24 hours! not to mention the architecture, that was a huge plus! If you are looking for a beautiful place to live in the McKinney/Allen/Frisco area, I suggest Century Lake Forest!Review from Apartments.com

On the edge of McKinney, Allen and Fairview so there's so much you can do. With a great pool, grilling area and cabana. Also, nice courtyards and pet areas.
