Convenient and Affordable
July 23, 2015Hampton Plaza is located right next to Towson Town Center and across from the new restaurants and movie theater that recently opened. Rent is pretty affordable compared to surrounding complexes that are at least $200 more per month for a comparable unit. The downside is that the building is getting old and is showing some signs that it needs some renovation and updating to get it out of the 80s. The biggest complaint I have are the windows which let heavy rain and cold air leak in. My winter ...utility bills were usually $150-$200 per month for a one bedroom apartment while my summer bills were less than $40. Also, there is no reason why the "fitness center" requires a monthly fee when LA Fitness is in walking distance and is only $5 to $10 more per month. Besides that, management is very responsive, repair requests are usually fulfilled in just a few hours, and the staff is friendly. You get a pretty big space with a great view, garage parking ($40 extra), and one free storage unit. Overall, I would highly recommend Hampton Plaza.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

July 21, 2015Hampton Plaza is good for its location and nothing else. It is extremely close to Towson Town Center, which is good. Because the building is old, there are many problems that will directly effect you. In the winter, it is very cold in the apartment even with the heat on because of the old, big windows. There are many insect problems on different floors. A 7-11 is directly across the street, which is very convenient. The maintenance workers don't do a very good job of fixing simple things and The ...gym doesn't have a lot of the much needed equiptment.
