My dad lived there for over 10 years. He enjoyed the Friday coffee socials, weekly card games, the various parties at the pool and clubhouse. Rosena is the most amazing person, very kind and professional. The apartments are big and spacious nestled in a nice location. He loved living there!

I have been living here over 4 years. Best management I have ever seen. Rosena and Shari are dedicated friendly staff members that get things done. Before pandemic always had Friday coffee cafe with cakes, cookies and more. Parties with live music throughout the year. Games played daily in clubhouse. Rosena loves to entertain her residents and is very caring. Rosena and Shari are always upbeat and fun to be around. Maintenance are always there and are efficient. I have no issues with any of the ...

I’ve lived at Pinewoods for over 15 years. There’s been changes in management, maintenance, and upgraded TV/internet service to Optimum. The rooms are big for an apartment and they all have walk in closets. I really like it here, but the one complaint they’ll never fix is extra parking.

I have lived here one year now and have nothing but positive things to say about the Pinewoods staff! They are attentive , respectful and effective in helping with whatever issues might come up. The maintenance staff is available around the clock for any emergencies that might arise, even on holiday weekends! It's obvious to me that they work hard, as a team, making sure their tenants are happy.
Regarding internet service, they recently had Cablevision service made available, so bravo!
Poorly run and not worth the price.

This place is poorly run and not worth the price. Apartments are paper thin and you can hear the neighbor's conversations and management does a very poor job of running the building.

Nice quiet apartment complex, however, if you enjoy watching TV and using the internet, this is not the place for you. Every other day the cable is out and they cannot fix it. So let's say you choose to watch Netflix or Hulu instead, but the internet is awful and also hardly works. And I don't mean every few days. Daily, within a day, you'll be losing internet throughout the day. It is always like this. If you need internet because you are a student, have a student, or work from home, the ...
internet will be out often enough for it to be a serious problem, not even just an inconvenience. And with where this is on LI, what are your other options to get work done come night time?
I don't know if it's all the trees around, but in 2018 in NY, I can't imagine why they struggle so much with cable and internet. Save yourself the headaches and frustration. Live elsewhere.

This is a fine place is you have no intention of using the internet. The only provider here is some local company (and Verizon land lines) and when I moved in I was told there would be multiple providers (sorry land lines do not count). I work from home, and for the first couple months had slow but reliable internet connection. However, they began an upgrade spring 2017 and the internet has been awful ever since. For the price of this apartment, you should not have this shoddy/ unreliable ...
internet connection. Staff has tried to help, but there comes a point when trying doesn't really count unless it resolves the issue.
I would not recommend living here, especially since nearby communities do not have these internet issues and are at similar prices.
