April 3, 2026Lived here for a year. the utilities were high because of the terrible washer dryer they rented us and the building just being old and inefficient. floor had a hole in the middle of the carpet when my parents helped us move in my mother tripped on it and when i told Carol the management lady she acted like im crazy for even asking about it. like im supposed to know there is a hole directly in the middle of the living room under the carpet! i told her they should probably warn tenants when they ...are moving in lol, she was very angry that i suggested that. overall bad experience living here. windows would leak when it rained. we had mold in our water heater room and carol told me it isnt mold then had the maintenance man come and wipe it away. felt sick for days after he cleaned it. broke our lease early and they ended up charging us 4 months rent to leave. tried charging us a fifth month. absolutely ridiculous. do not go here. rude staff who always seemed to be bothered by tenants. units are gross, our rug floor would leave our feet black and brown no matter how many times we cleaned them. cabinets were filthy. cheapest apartments in the area but for good reason. if i had to do it again i would definitely pay more for one of the other complexes in the area. quite honestly could have seen past everything if i hadn't had such a terrible experience with Carol, rude, always annoyed, and tried intimidating us on our way out. always went back on her word. especially on our move out. said it was totally fine to end the lease early just had to pay a lease termination fee. made us pay that which was equal to 2 months rent, theeeenn told us they require a 60 day notice so even though we left a week later she made us pay 2 MORE months of rent and keep the utilities under our name. and you would think the utility bill would be low but NOPE. hundreds in water and electric each month after we left. let this be a warning do not move in here. spend the extra money on the neighboring complexes.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Great neighbors and quiet location
December 9, 2015I temporarily relocated to Southern Pines and was nervous about finding the "right" place. I hadn't rented in awhile, and you never really know until your "in", but I definitely made a great decision in Tanglewood. The apartments are located close to everything, but in a very quiet tucked-away area. The staff are absolutely awesome (friendly, courteous and professional)!! My neighbors were some of the nicest and overall best neighbors I've ever had; I was on the ground floor / middle unit and ...never heard any loud music or excessive noise. Plenty of parking and mail / garbage are both distributed perfectly throughout the complex. I had two minor maintenance issues during my lease and they were both addressed immediately. A good review always has at least one negative, but I honestly can't think of one. If you are looking to rent, you should give them a look.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

The Place to Live!
October 10, 2014I have been living here for over a year now and I am so glad that I chose this apartment complex. It is quiet here and everything is SO close! There are times when I can drive for 3 weeks on one tank of gas! I have not had many issues where I needed repairs but when I made a call for repairs thet were taken care of quickly. I love the large kitchen and livingroom. I have a great tan from hanging out at the pool this summer. The office staff are very kind and always ready to help you.
