If I could give this property 0 stars, I would.
Since the management changed to TWO Coast Living, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I went 74 days without air conditioning during temperatures above 85°F. I submitted more than 10 maintenance requests, yet they were repeatedly marked as "completed" even though no one entered my apartment to make repairs.
When someone finally came, he claimed to know what he was doing but left after only a short time because it was past his work
...hours. He used one of my dining room chairs to reach the AC unit because he didn't have a ladder, damaged the electrical system, and left me with a poorly installed window AC unit that wasn't properly sealed. Bugs entered through the gaps, and despite having the window unit, my apartment never cooled below 77°F. The humidity inside my apartment became unbearable. My doors began swelling from the moisture, making them difficult or impossible to close. After staying with my parents for one weekend to escape the heat, I returned to find mold growing on my walls, in my kitchen, and eventually throughout my apartment. I immediately reported it and sent photos. On July 11, maintenance finally repaired the AC after working until about 9:00 PM. The humidity inside my apartment exceeded 80%, and I had to empty a 2-gallon dehumidifier more than five times in less than two hours. The mold had spread to my furniture: dining table, chairs, couches, clothing, resulting in hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dollars in damaged property.
Trying to resolve the issue afterward was just as frustrating. Every time I contacted the leasing office, I was told to call corporate because they "had nothing to do with it." When a friend accompanied me to return my keys and asked what they planned to do to address everything that had happened, the leasing staff dismissed him, spoke to him in a patronizing manner, and again told us to contact corporate. They refused to let me speak with the property manager or even provide her name.
To this day, I have received no compensation. The only time my situation was treated with urgency was after I documented the Alabama laws being violated and mentioned the possibility of legal action.
My advice to anyone considering this property: document everything in writing, keep copies of every maintenance request, and know your rights.
TLDR: Do not live here unless you want no AC, mold infested furniture, and no accountability.
