Our apartment is on the 2nd level and all the heat rises, making it a hotbox. Even with two air conditioners, its been very hard with my wife and 2 small sons. Have been looking for better apartment, but everything is obscenely priced for anything close to the 2 bed and 2 bath we have now. We almost pay 1500 a month and would love to not have to pay it again!!

This building location offers a rare combination of amenities that much of Los Angeles does not offer. The unit is located on a quiet street where noise is not an issue, even on weekend nights, which is surprising given the large amount of nightlife activities that the area offers. A wide array of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping of all kinds are within walking distance on nearby Santa Monica Blvd., Fairfax Ave, and Melrose Avenue [walking in LA?!]. A short drive to the 101 and 10 ...
freeways help out with any commute. The unit itself was remodeled ~2011 and is clean and spacious [about 900 s.f., not bad for a 1 bedroom!]. The kitchen has ample counter space and cupboard space, another rarity in apartment living. The bedroom is large and has a closet that spans the entire length of a wall, so wardrobe space is never an issue. The only thing keeping this unit from a 5 star rating is the lack of a dishwasher and the fact that the building's pool is old and hidden in the shadows of an overhang of the building. Neighbors [in-building and on rest of street] seem very friendly.

The location is PRIME in between santa moncia blvd, Fairfax, and Melrose. No problems with rodents or bugs. Our apartment has a refurbished kitchen, flooring and bathroom. Laundry is in the building and our apartment has a small porch. There is a less than luxurious "pool" behind the building (it seems dirty and is located under an overhang of the building). The space seems large for a 1 bedroom apartment for just under 1000 sq ft.
