January 28, 2026My sister is planning to move in next year and my friends all live here with me now & we’ve had a great time so far. Maintenance is really quick to respond to maintenance requests. Comfortable Apartment and Enjoyable Staff

Best property option!
November 15, 2025My daughter has had an amazing experience living at Arcadia! Don’t let the bad reviews sway your decision… 95% of the time, those are from people who didn’t get their way and are just choosing to complain. The Arcadia staff does an amazing job of communicating well before the scheduled move-in date, about how important it is to fill out the move-in condition form and be as detailed as possible. This helps avoid any move-out charges, which makes perfect sense! There’s absolutely no reason to have ...bogus charges unless you aren’t taking care of your apartment or simply not following the clearly laid out rules from the staff. My daughter is now going into her second year at Arcadia, and we've seen maintenance requests handled promptly, fun resident events planned regularly, and just a great overall atmosphere. The location is also a huge plus! It’s close to local grocery stores, restaurants, and lots of fun things to do off-campus. We’re very thankful for such a positive and smooth off-campus housing experience. Highly recommend Arcadia!Property Manager Responded

Loved living here!
October 20, 2025I lived at Arcadia my senior year, and truly loved my experience. The management staff is great, I was leaving a situation where I didn't love my roommates, and was very open about it when I signed my lease, I did the roommate matching option, and was paired with a great group of girls to finish out my college career. Maintenance was great, anytime I put in a work order it was completed same day or the next. I love the programs they offer, this helped me meet new people. Do not live here
August 3, 2024Moved in August 2023. The apartment was filthy when we moved in. Everyone including parents were very upset. In my bedroom the carpet was dirty, stained, matted and old. The bathtub was filled with water and had dead ants in it. The bottom drawer on the dresser was broken, The toilet seat was old and filthy. During the year there were several issues with bugs and no heat. These took several days to resolve. One of the heat incidents occurred when I has the flu and the temperature in apt was ...barely 50 degrees. Upon move out they will nickel and dime you on approx $100 cleaning charges and they are trying to get us to pay $522 to replace an old carpet. The apartment and carpet were left cleaner when we moved out 7/31/24 then when we moved in August 2023. Stay away! JMU should not be associated with this property.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com

Steer clear
May 10, 2018Do not live here. The apartments are fine and the rent is about average, but the management is awful. The "resident affairs manager" has an extremely cavalier attitude and will treat anyone who comes to her as beneath her. A very "how dare you come to ME with this problem" attitude. Too bad that's what she gets paid for. There's much better places to live for similar prices. Tl;dr the management ruins this whole thing. Where College Students Reside
July 23, 2015This is the perfect building if you want thin walls, worn down carpet, a nonexistent backyard, and furnished. Stonegate accommodates various college students ranging with different budgets. On the upside, Stonegate is walking distance to James Madison University unlike the other apartments. There is a sad gym attached to the clubhouse with an absent pool, one of the two complexes without one in Harrisonburg.
