The only thing you’ll enjoy about Blue Star is it’s location, and even that contributes to its low score at times. Let’s start with maintenance, which is arguably the complex’s lowest point. The units themselves are in poor shape, so expect something to go wrong on a regular basis. When something does, expect at least one month to fix any issue. ...elevator in the building breaks down almost every month, and isn’t fixed for at least a week every time. When I moved in the elevator was broken, and now it seems when I move out it will be the same. The resident parking lot gate has been broken for over a month as i’m writing this. As i’ve been told, they are currently collecting “bids”. Good luck finding parking any day of the week after 5pm. You’re essentially paying for someone else to have your parking spot. Now onto communication. Good luck reaching the leasing office. It is empty most days, and the phone goes to voicemail automatically during business hours. We have tried to voice concerns about building security, but nothing has been done. Expect wanderers from the bars below to get into the elevator and pee in it or knock on your doors late at night. There are electronic locks on each entry, but they are probably too cheap to get any of them working again. Beware of package thieves, if you can even get delivery drivers to find your unmarked apartment building in the first place. You will not feel safe here. You are not valued as a tenant here. Your time and your property and not valued here. Honestly, if you want to live at Blue Star so bad, do yourself a favor and pick the complex down the street or any of the other homes nearby. I’m sure you’ll have a much better experience!
