I Love This Place
August 26, 2024I've moved in just over a month ago, and I can't say enough about this property. It is very well-maintained, staff are pleasant and helpful! The building manager is kind, and walked me through the leasing process, as I rented it based on photos. I saw some negative reviews, and frankly, they are perplexing. I have seen no pests, and my unit was sparkling clean on move in. There are friendly dogs and pet parents everywhere, and being literally across the street from a great dog park (with ...nice pet parents) makes this extra good. Two short blocks from the River Walk is amazing- at least once a day, I feel like I'm in Europe. A short walk to the Pearl Brewery complex makes this location highly desirable! A great cafe' on the adjacent Park and an artisanal cocktail bar on a nearby hotel rooftop is awesome. I'm lining up the visitors! The rooftop pool is a perfect place to float, with cabanas and tables for that time when you want to relax is a great perk. I recommend!!!!Property Manager Responded

Showed up for an appointment. Leasing never answered. Waste of time
May 14, 2022I had an appointment scheduled to view an apartment. I showed up 10 minutes early. Used the call box to ring the leasing office. No one answered. Called from my phone. No one answered. Waited 20 minutes past my appointment time. Finally someone called. Very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.Property Manager Responded

Slightly less stressful than living in the hotel from The Shining
October 14, 2020I agree with the review from June 2020 -- maintenance requests take days or weeks to resolve due to understaffing and management indifference (though Steve, the maintenance guy, is nice and the only person on staff who seems to actually interact with and want to help tenants). The apartments are worn-down, dingy, and only ever "improved" with rushed paint jobs. They recently got new management, and somehow there's been a lot of new fines, stricter rules, and looser security without actually, you ...know, building or service improvements. If you take your concerns to the office, the manager will disappear on a tour with any prospective tenants so they don't hear any negatives from people who actually live here. The price and sizing may sound good, but it really isn't worth the ridiculousness they throw at you after you sign the lease. I'd avoid Cadillac Lofts like the plague unless you like pain -- in which case, enjoy your new home and be sure to say hi to the little ghost girls.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Okay Location, Terrible Management
June 30, 2020The building is located near downtown and many good restaurants but is unfortunately caddy corner to an emergency room where the ambulances signal their approach at odd hours. The management does not deal with maintenance issues in a timely manner and relies on one or two people for the whole 3 story building. The full rent is never posted in time for the 1st of the month and I've had issues with the office staff giving me the wrong number for rent plus utilities and then giving me a bill of a ...few dollars that I would have to pay. The large windows are nice for natural light and plants but the paint and the sealant has not been replaced in years so they condensate to the point of pools of water forming on the floor. Great place to live.
March 6, 2020I moved to Cadillac Lofts March 2018. It is time to renew my lease again. I have looked around downtown at several different apartments, but I have decided to stay here at Cadillac Lofts for another year. I have covered parking at no additional charge and I have a full size laundry room that is perfect for my full size washer and dryer. I love the character of the building and the Cadillac Lofts is a perfect downtown location . I have never had a problem with crime. The management team and ...staff were a nightmare in the past, but we finally have an amazing manager now. Amanda, the new manager, has been here for a couple months and she has really turned things around. She is very prompt with returning calls and will stay late if I need to talk to her after I get off work. We finally have a great maintenance team and Steve is very good about letting me know exactly what time he will be at my apartment to do any repairs. Every apartment has a unique floor plan and look, they are not the typical boxy (every apartment looks the same) floor plans as the other apartments that I looked at downtown. They love dogs here and a great top notch pet store is on the first floor. My neighbors are super cool and I truly get a big city urban feel here. My past experiences here were not always good, but I am very happy with the new manager and maintenance team. They are truly making a big difference here. I will sign another year lease and look forward to continuing my early morning walks with my dogs along the riverwalk which is 1 block over. Thank God the company realized that we had major problems in the past and has made great strides in making the necessary changes. Unresponsive and unhelpful
December 1, 2018Management is in no rush to assist with concerns/maintenance requests. Was just told maintenance can’t come for two days to fix air conditioning even when the repair takes 10 minutes tops. Good Location, terrible management
October 23, 2018I lived here for two years, the location is amazing, but towards the end of our lease, we had some issues with the office not being able to rid our apartment of german cockroaches(we had someone come in every week to spray and it did absolutely nothing), and being overcharged upon moveout. The office totally ignored us after multiple requests for verification of charges, it took me filing complaint to the BBB to get any information at all, and even then the excuse I received was "everything was ...done in-house". If you do live here, make sure to note every little scratch or mark, and be sure to do the walk-through with the manager. May 11, 2018I decided to waited 6 months before writing a review for my loft and in general Cadillac Lofts as a whole. The reviews I read prior to move in had me concerned but after meeting the CL staff I felt signing a lease was the right thing to do for me. The location allows me to take the Riverwalk every evening for a cool 5.4 mile walk. Covered parking keeps the Texas heat and possible hail off my car. I also found the price per square foot gave me a much larger place for the money I had allotted to ...spend. I'm on a major budget so rent, food, and gas play a big roll in my life right now. This place is not for everyone, its older and was a Cadillac dealership a long time ago, concrete floors, exposed duct work, tall ceilings and I believe every loft is different. I really like fact that a lot of great restaurants / bars / stores are within walking distance, and the Pearl Brewery is a short bike ride away. Terrible Management
May 2, 2016When I was forced to move out of my unit so they could remodel, the management tried to charge me for cleaning fees (I cleaned the previous unit very well), a dirty air filter, and burned out light bulbs! By the same logic, should I pay the maintenance man EVERY TIME he comes to my unit to fix these things? So ridiculous...it took 3 months to get these financial problems sorted out with them. My current problem: I have a neighbor that habitually smokes MARIJUANA and cigarettes...my apartment ...constantly smells like a giant pot/cigarette ash tray, I have bronchial problems and my clothing reeks. I have SEEN HER smoking out of her window and have informed both the complex manager and the VP, but they have done nothing besides seal the windows with very thin weather stripping and get me a very small air purifier to help the problem, claiming that they "are trying to pinpoint the source of the smell." The units here are by contract non-smoking, but don't be deceived, they don't enforce it. *One new thing to note - after putting up with this for months, I went to the office to lodge another complaint, hoping they would do something. One of the staffers was with a potential customer (I didn't realize this at the time, I thought they were a current resident). A few hours later, I received a phone call from Joseph, the current manager, where he proceeded to YELL and BERATE me for complaining about a problem (which they have yielded no results for) in front of a potential customer. Other additional problems this complex has: - They're constantly hiring/firing managers and office staff - The manager/office staff is never on time when opening the office - I've seen potential customers waiting for them to arrive, up to 30 min - 45 min late - The walls are PAPER THIN and you can hear a conversation on the other side of the wall - The walls/windows aren't well insulated, so you can smell EVERYTHING, including your neighbor's burned dinner - They don't have cameras anywhere - we know of a couple that had their car stolen out of the parking lot, and bikes get stolen off the rickety rack in the garage all the time - I know another resident that had a serious cockroach and rodent infestation in her unit that went on for months, and management did next to nothing about it - Wet paint is always on the hallway floors and walls - There are animal feces on the hallway floors on a daily basisLeer MásReseña de Apartments.com
