I lived in Camden Asbury Village for 3 years (recently escaped the place) and am fairly certain the other 3 posts on this site are paid for.
The staff is rude and condescending, and the covenants are extremely restrictive. They pressure you to renew your lease immediately lest your eligible rent rate go up 3 months before your actual lease is up. In the last year I resided there, they forced an apartment renovation on all apartments that had not been renovated, yet offered no relocation
...options, no prorated rent, and no pet boarding options for the renovation time (which was promised to be 10 business days but took them a month and it still looked like they haphazardly slapped stickers on top of the old cabinet finish). This renovation raised the apartment rent even further while adding no value to the tenants it was forced on.
The dog bag dispensers were always empty. When asked to keep a better eye on it the asst. manager said there was no way to check all the boxes in a day -- they have golf carts, and I walked by all of the stations in under 20 minutes. They also threaten you with a fine if caught not scooping... so make of that what you will.
The dog park is moderately well sized and shaded--the best part of the community. I recommend going by and asking *real residents* about their experiences. I can tell you that of all the people I met at that dog park, not one had a positive thing to say about their experience in the community or working with the staff.
If you're looking for a place where you can feel at home -- please look elsewhere...
