Happy Here in H21
November 15, 2025I have really enjoyed living in Hartford 21! The building is clean, well-maintained, and feels safe. Obviously the location cannot be better being right in the heart of downtown. One of the best parts is the concierge team. They are consistently helpful, attentive, and I am impressed by how well they know the residents on an individual personal basis. The only reason I would take off a star is because sometimes the elevators can be finicky and or the dog park could be cleaned on a more frequent ...basis :-) It’s a great place to be, and I would definitely suggest living here!Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com

November 13, 2025We’ve had a great experience living here, thanks in large part to the staff. Jorge, the maintenance tech, consistently goes above and beyond and treats every tenant with genuine care. The concierge team is also dependable, friendly, and always on top of things. Regret Resigning
September 27, 2024Where to begin… Car has been broken into in the parking garage twice. Told front desk woman who works nights and she brushed it off. 2 of the elevators do not work. Plates do not read so you have to buzz in and out every time you need to enter or exit garage. Building has a MAJOR odor and fly problem. Good luck enjoying your workout in the gym. Avoid
January 4, 2024This building has several security and maintenance issues. The parking lot is not secure, the building security is nonexistent. Additionally, there are frequent elevator issues, intermittently out of order. Easy intruder walk-ins, and car break-ins. Many apartments with more than 5 students: subleasing it further on temporary basis(even 15days as per Facebook posts) making it unsafe for residents. Cleanliness has definitely taken a hit. 21 reasons why
May 24, 2023Do you like the smell of marijuana penetrating your unit? Crowding into elevators like helpless sheep because 2/3 are shut down? Your confidential info being mismanaged? Then this place is perfect for you. Residents who lack consideration and manners are part of the problem. They’ve triggered fire alarms, don’t return carts, and don’t clean up after their pets. You’ll also have to fight over parking spots with the public who somehow got in. The doors should be (but aren’t) locked 24/7 due to ...this being an urban location. Food deliveries have been stolen and staff is too incompetent to deal with the homeless who’ve walked (or been let) in. The occasional free pizza and holiday party don’t make up for all the issues you’ll experience. Dear management, either address the problems or reduce everyone’s rent to what it’s actually worth.Property Manager Responded

Amazing experience!
August 18, 2022I moved to Hartford in October of 2021. I have lived at the property for ~12 months and I have nothing but good things to say: (1)The staff - amazing people. The front desk staff is awesome and they all have unique personalities. I love my daily interactions with them. The maintenance crew is also great; they work fast and help with any issue you may have. (2) Leasing office - they try their best to work with you and are always attentive to your situation. They want you to have a great experience ...while living at H21. (3)Location - Hartford is on the rise. You are literally located in the center of it all. Missing it already!
December 15, 2019Just departed Hartford (business transfer) after a brief 14 month stay at H21. Excellent city living. Complex was convenient to downtown for dining/movies/other activities (including Wolfpak hockey & Yard-goat baseball!). Parking was plentiful and convenient. Staff was courteous and customer focused. Apartment was safe (I traveled for work frequently), especially with 24-hr concierge. Matthew and his staff have hit a home run. Great Place to Live
December 11, 2019I've lived here for two years and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The building is impeccably clean at all times, eloquently decorated, has up-to-date facilities (ex. gym) and is very safe. The biggest sell point for me is the staff. The manager and leasing agents are friendly, helpful, flexible and responsive; the facilities staff are friendly, attentive and efficient at addressing any issues that might arise. Overall, while the price is not cheap, the value you receive is more ...than commensurate with what you pay. Other sell points include covered parking, the gym and spring water/coffee on demand. I would highly recommend Hartford 21 to anyone working in Hartford or the surrounding areas and also to anyone looking for a transitional space.Property Manager Responded

Best Apartments in Connecticut
October 30, 2019I have lived at Hartford 21 for the past three years and it's still by far the best place to live in Hartford, Connecticut. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience, amenities, and services that are offered. The apartments are well designed and quiet. The maintenance staff keep the building in great condition. At my prior apartment building, I've had numerous packages stolen. At Hartford 21, they have a 24/7 concierge staff that stores bulk packages so they remain safe and ...secure. The building also has several security cameras and several of the doors, including the elevator, are accessible only by a key fob that is assigned to you. The concierge staff provides excellent customer service to the residents. The leasing office staff are always willing to go out of their way to help you. Living here for the past three years, I have found them to be more that just your typical employee that works for a company but they are great kind hearted people whom I have developed friendships with. Living at Hartford 21 with a pet is also not a problem. There are many beautiful dogs that also reside in the building. There are also complimentary dog waste bags and dog treats in the lobby for your pets. There's also a dog wash room and dog park in the garage for your convenience. The dog park and wash is a great amenity especially on those raining and snowy days. Speaking of snow, snow removal is done with top priority at Hartford 21 and the covered parking inside the garage keeps your vehicle clean from any type of weather. Also located in the lobby, there is complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There is a fitness center located on the second floor that provides excellent wellness equipment for your needs. Moving into Hartford 21 was simple and easy with the use of the building's freight elevator. Hartford 21 is centered around numerous businesses and many different food and drink options. It's also in close proximity to both I-84 and I-91 if you have to travel as well as any type of public transportation. I have absolutely no complaints about living here at Hartford 21. The resident experience has been extremely enjoyable and I'm glad to call Hartford 21 my home.Property Manager Responded

Great Downtown Hartford Living
September 28, 2019My husband and I have lived at Hartford 21 for more than two years and have had an extremely positive experience. Management is responsive, friendly, and personable. Concierge personnel are delightful and always address us by name and with a smile. Regardless of when we submit a ticket for maintenance, the team responds either the same day or within 24 hours. They always do an excellent job of addressing the issue correctly the first time and clean up behind themselves. We enjoy downtown living ...with access to restaurants, the arts, and sports. We take comfort in knowing that when we travel, any packages delivered to us will be collected and held in a safe place. If we need an H21 team member to enter our apartment and adjust a forgotten thermostat, they will gladly do so. We have not had any negative experiences such as noisy or inconsiderate neighbors. Everyone seems friendly and respectful. Our excellent experience at H21 would be superb if the rent included free internet or bulk-rate cable service. MJMProperty Manager Responded

The Best in Hartford
December 28, 2018I love to read people's honest reviews of apartments/venues/restaurants/etc and I thought it was only appropriate that I write a review, good or bad, for a thing I've experienced. That said, I've been living here for a couple years now and I'm so satisfied with the building. The property is very safe, the apartments are clean and well maintained and give you a luxury feeling even though you're in the middle of a not so great city. The prices are very steep, but I guess that's what happens when ...you're living in the middle of downtown in Connecticut. Pros: In unit laundry, great natural lighting in the apartments, huge bathroom, quick and friendly maintenance, concierge is a pure delight, GARAGE PARKING, 24/7 security with mail room, management (to me) have been friendly Cons: very expensive for very few utilities covered, could have better/more amenities, rent goes up every year, management (to others, I've heard) have not been very friendly... would take that cautiously, as I've had a great experience Overall I would highly recommend individuals with the affordability to live here. It won't get much better. I really lucked out. 9/10 rating.Property Manager Responded
