I currently live at Coconut Creek Landing (under new mgmt), formally Fisherman Landing. At the time when I moved to Fisherman Landing in January, it was a disaster. The management company told me that I lost my apartment and could not move in because the current resident is still living there. Even though, I signed a document that said I would be able to move in on a certain date and submitted my deposit, the management company had stipulations in fine writing. I was so stressed out because I now
...have no where to live. The management company basically slammed the door in my face. It took me months to find a new apartment that was affordable and I just couldn't go through it again.
Finally, I called Fisherman Landing and said they need to do something to accommodate me. They said I can live in another apartment until the current resident moved out. I didn't want to move twice because I have no family to help and to pay movers twice was costly. In the end, the resident moved out and I got the apartment two days before my move in date. The apartment smelled like smoke, the paint was still wet, the bathroom needed to be repaired, along with the washer and dryer doors. It wasn't the best living conditions, but it was a place to live.
We are now under new management at Coconut Creek Landing, and the management company is painting, plating flowers and trees, new grass, and they repaved the roads for the residents because there was a lot of holes in the road. They even changed my washer and dryer doors. Things seems to be looking on the brighter side with the new management at Coconut Creek Landing.
