Great Community
September 21, 2017 - Reseña de Apartments.comLaurel Park was our home for the first year and a half of our married lives. It's close to everything you'll need and the service/maintenance on anything that needs repair is instantaneous. While living in Laurel Park we enjoyed the jogging path as well as the convenience of close shopping. Definitely a great apartment and would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment to move in to.
Rodents in Apartments
February 11, 2017 - Reseña de Apartments.comThere are rodents in the apartment and all the management could do is to come and put some cheap traps. There is no proper pest control and we are asked to just wait for the rodents to get trapped on those sticky traps. That never happens and it is a scare to live with the rodents on a daily basis. You never know when they will cross all of a sudden when you walk inside the house.

However, the positives nearly end there. The staff does not promptly handle issues nor do they return phone calls/emails requesting their assistance. This was the largest problem that I had and it was almost frustrating to no end. The appliances are all old, and while functional, are very aesthetically unappealing. The counter tops feel like construction ...paper and are heavily damaged, and the cabinets almost appear to be raw lumber. The carpet is also of low quality. Buy a house if you can, otherwise take your time and rent elsewhere.Leer Más

August 4, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comThis is the perfect apartment community for those looking for a quiet and family-friendly environment. The staff hosts events at the clubhouse for holidays and special events, such as a crawfish boil, pizza parties, and even get breakfast catered and handed out at the entrances!! The staff responds quickly to any issues that may arise, even as small as getting a lightbulb changed! Awesome Place to Live with a VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and HELPFUL STAFF!!
Good Location & Spacious, but Lacks Quality..
July 27, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comWhat brought me to Laurel Park was the location. It's right in the heart of Dogwood and surrounded by shops. There's a Kroger and a Target right across the street, and lots of restaurants and other shops within walking distance. Lakeland Drive is pretty traffic heavy but the DOT is about to widen several miles of it. The apartments are also very spacious, with a large living area, bathroom, bedroom, and walk-in closet. However, it faces the same problem that nearly all other apartments in the ...Jackson area face, which is a serious lack of quality. The kitchen appliances were old. The "granite" countertops that I was told it would have were actually that awful laminate contractor-grade garbage. The cabinets are cheap, they almost look and feel like unpainted plywood. The "hardwood" floors I was promised were some new age fake hardwood that feels - and acts - like paper. I got it wet in one of the corners when I was installing my washing machine and it just peeled right up off the floor. In the bathroom, they didn't even attempt to install that stuff, and instead left the old soggy laminate, which was stained with an extremely permanent blue paint in several places. I told them about the stains the day I moved in and they did nothing about it. Just bought a couple of rugs to cover it. Now despite all this, I have managed to make it look somewhat nice. I am a girl, so naturally I decorate a lot. I also painted the walls and did a nice kitchen backsplash. I took down those awful vertical blinds and put up nice curtains. I will also say that the residents here seem very respectable and upstanding. Lots of young professionals and retirees. In the end, you have to realize that the rental market in Jackson is terrible, and just make the most of what you can find. There are very few places here I would consider "nice" (i.e., with standard updates like granite, hardwood, stainless steel, etc). I think the best thing you can do is find a place within your price range and in a good neighborhood, and do your best to fix it up to your liking.Leer Más

August 10, 2014 - Reseña de Apartments.comI lived here for a year. The apartments are in a great location and are very spacious. They are not very sound proof. I could hear every car that drove past my corner bedroom of the apartment. I could also hear every step that my upstairs neighbors took or words to a song when they played music. The girls above us also smoked a lot and would leave our porch covered in ashes and buds. We also had a few to many maintenance issues to be paying such a large amount to live there. We had a huge leak in ...our laundry room, termites, and a couple of other minor issues. One of the last problems was a leak in our ceiling that they never did fix completely before we left. I have to say they usually had the guys come fix things the next day. We also had an issue with one of the office ladies, but after talking to the right person she was always very pleasant. Found my daughter the apartment that fits my daughters needs (cute, spacious with a pool and near shopping) and my requirements (gated and safe and near her school)! Thanks, Melissa!
