have lived at Lux at Stoughton for several years and cannot recommend it.
The property constantly advertises “luxury living,” yet management regularly sends automated emails saying, “It’s a quiet day in your neighborhood.” That has not been my experience.
During my time here, someone was shot outside my bedroom window, my car was broken into while parked outside my building, and I called 911 during a violent domestic assault after a neighbor’s boyfriend attacked her. He later threatened me.
...Police responded to all of these incidents, yet I never received any communication from management acknowledging them or addressing resident concerns.
After my car was broken into, I was told the security cameras primarily cover the leasing office—not the residential parking areas where tenants actually park.
Maintenance has also been disappointing. My refrigerator’s ice maker leaked repeatedly for years. Despite multiple repair attempts, the problem was never permanently fixed. The water line was eventually shut off, and after another repair I was told there was no guarantee it wouldn’t leak again. Management still refused to replace the refrigerator, leaving me without a working ice maker.
Packages are routinely delivered to the wrong building, forcing residents to search neighboring buildings to find them.
There has also been constant turnover in the leasing office and management, making it difficult to know who is actually responsible for resolving issues. Services have declined over the years as well. Hallway carpets used to be cleaned annually around lease renewals; that stopped while rents continued to rise.
The maintenance technicians have always been courteous and professional. My criticism is directed at management and ownership, not them.
“Luxury living” is more than upgraded finishes and marketing slogans. It means residents feel safe, maintenance problems are permanently resolved, and management stands behind the property. After several years here, that has not been my experience.
