  • Don’t Do It

    First off we absolutely loved living in Tacoma - the people, THE FOOD, places to go, etc. However as a decent human and as a female I cannot recommend living in this complex if you are single or with children/pets. 1. There is absolutely no security - the cameras don’t work, people let randoms in the front door, no garage security, cars are smashed / broken in to. The gym is dangerous (if it’s even open). The lights turn off while you are inside (which they refuse to fix) and has a single point ...
    of entry with the machines facing the opposite direction so you can’t see who is coming in or out. 2. Management has changed 3-4 times over the course of my 2 years here. They do not take complaints seriously. There is always an excuse and they always promise things i.e we will fix the gym, cameras, we are going to hire better security, we will have an area for dogs. Management sends poorly written emails and deals with building emergencies late (homeless people breaking in and locking the main entrance door during fire alarms). 3. If you are a pet owner there is NO PLACE FOR YOUR DOG TO POTTY. You can use the rocks out front but it constantly smells since no one picks up after their dog. 4. I had to call CPS and the police (who do not show up in this area) on my upstairs neighbors because of the abuse we had to listen to with a female and baby upstairs (first year here). 5. When we first moved in the neighbors would not stop smoking above us. 6. Fire alarm always goes off for “tests” or because the pipes constantly burst in the garage. Garage is always flooded. 7. Hallways always smell too due to the “trash service” which is a waste of money that you can’t opt out of. Most of the time when it’s needed they don’t pick up i.e. the weekend so everyone leaves their trash around the complex and backs up the shoot to the main level or higher. 8. Nickel and dime you on everything but you always need to check your bill since they over charge you on the WiFi, pest control, or common area lighting. Check your move out bill they try to overcharge you + extra service fee. $500 refundable deposit is not actually refundable it goes to your close out bill. 9. Apartment was not actually cleaned or repaired before we moved in. 10. Amenities - gym, pool, roof, theater, etc. is always broken or closed. Nothing is ever kept clean or nice. The only good things about this complex is the walk ability to food and the maintenance crew.

    Met245 is a moderate-sized community with great amenities that inspires by the season. The winter brings warm family feelings to the building with their caring management and event team. The spring is the shower of kindness you get from the residents (and their pets!) the summer is the intense willingness to do better each and everyday to fix even the smallest problem. The fall brings it all together with the area. This may just be a home for some, but it's a fun adventure for me and I will miss ...
    it when I move on. Thank you to all the members of the staff and to all the residents that were friendly that always say hello. I smile and wave back even when i'm not in the best of moods because we all need a smile once in a while.

    Met245 has been nothing but amazing since I've moved in! Staff is always helpful & go above the bar every time for anything I've needed. I feel secure and snug in my place with a view of the Puget Sound that can't be matched with many other places in the area! I'm very happy here!

    The staff are amazing, the property is the best we found in the area, and the view from our sunroom is breathtaking every day! The amenities are better than most resorts too! Everyone is friendly, helpful, and I feel safe and secure walking the dog or walking to a local market or bookstore. I haven't been this happy moving into an apartment community in a very long time - they made it easy!

    Maintenance is awesome. Very respectful and has excellent communication habits. Also, very respectful and careful concerning covid protocol. The whole team has been great so far. No real complaints as of now.

    Between the timely and efficient Met245 apartments-wide conversion of WiFi internet services / television programming services from "Rainier Connect" over to the new "Comcast / Xfinity services" during recent weeks, to the Met245 common-space elevator repair services performed sometime during Thanksgiving holiday eve, the new Met245 managment team has been performing admirably, especially when their apartment management offices were closed for the long holiday weekend, early Wednesday afternoon ...
    November 24th. In spite of this management office closure, emergency troubleshooting and repair services were quickly performed, leaving all Met245 residents with efficient elevator services being resumed throughout this long holiday weekend. Thank you, Glen Smith, Met245 resident.

  • Lived here for about 18 months now.

    The first year was nice, when it was the metropolitan. Now there is new owners and management and i hate the place with a passion. Currently most online classes are still offered at home only, at least for myself, and they began doing construction on the building the same time school started. its been 5 weeks and everyday there is hammering and constant sounds of construction work, you are essentially sitting in a construction site trying to study and get some peace and queit and it is ...
    absolutely impossible. Not only that but for 3 days straight the fire alarm has been beeping every 5 seconds to warn that it needs maintence, since 2 am sunday til now tuesday morning its still beeping along with the sound of hammers on the walls, its a nightmare living here and i would do everything to suggest never moving here unless its free maybe.

    If youre looking for a place to live come on over here its a great atmosphere. Our apartment community has these events they set up to get us to mingle and get to know each other. And the price is not bad at all for this amazing rooftop water view!!!

    The Met245 is a quiet clean community with friendly helpful staff. The amenities are a great benefit with an added amazing rooftop view. The Met245 stays actively involved with events for the residents to help keep the community connected.
