Community Is Great; Leasing Agents Subpar and Not Friendly
May 29, 2024When I first moved in, the property was under a different management company, which was excellent. Gina and James, who managed the office, were incredibly responsive and personable, making the community feel like an extension of home. Upon moving in, the building was new, and there were some initial issues, such as a lack of AC, no hot water for two days, and other post-construction fixes. These were addressed swiftly, and the management team provided a temporary apartment, a $500 gift card for ...the inconvenience, and overall exceptional service. I also experienced significant noise issues from my upstairs neighbors, which disrupted my peace. The office worked to mitigate this problem and even offered a complimentary unit transfer, as it affected several residents. However, the management company changed in late December, with minimal communication about the transition. In January, while checking on my unit transfer status, I encountered Keely for the first time. Her unhelpful and unfriendly demeanor was disappointing. Thankfully, a leasing leader resolved my issue, but the new management's fees were high, and they were less accommodating and harder to contact. The new unit had several unresolved issues (still present), like a loose front door knob, marked baseboards, stained cabinetry, and a stripped tub. The new management even refused to have maintenance change the shower head, providing a tool for me to do it instead. Regarding community amenities, the pool is beautiful, but the bathrooms are poorly maintained on weekends, often lacking toilet paper. The hot tub heating issues were eventually fixed, and a bird problem was resolved. However, the trash and landscaping services are noisy, starting as early as 8 a.m., and the new management's reduced office hours and poor responsiveness are frustrating. Despite the convenient location near the interstate and Tempe, the current management team is subpar compared to the previous one. It feels like they lack passion for their work. I had to break my lease due to a personal matter and move back to Florida. It took five days to get a response, and Keely's lack of empathy both in person and via email was disheartening. Her handling of the termination fee situation was especially insensitive, and she has continued to be short and less than helpful, often speaking over me in conversation. August 9, 2023Overall this is a good complex. The location is perfect and the aesthetic is gorgeous. I love having an elevator, a dog park, an option for a storage room. The only major downside is the parking. It’s so hard to have visitors as they have to fight for parking in the front with the other tenants that don’t/can’t pay for an extra parking spot behind the gate.Property Manager Responded

However, after communicating with 6 different staff members, it feels like the staff aren't allowed to tell you they don't know something, which leads to many of them (4 out of 6 for me) lying about certain things. Not great
May 14, 2023Unfortunately, this is by far the loudest place I've ever lived. There's little insulation between my unit and the one above me and I've heard the female living upstairs sneeze on numerous occasions, noise from a surround sound system, when their washer is on it vibrates the closet door in my bedroom and the wall that separates my living room from the bedroom which my TV/monitor sits on so it's like a little earthquake simulator, and the sound of objects dropping on the floor. Perhaps this is due ...to having laminate floors, I don't know. The icing on the cake was the week before last when said neighbor upstairs apparently mistaked my unit for his and after trying to open the lock several times, started to bodyslam himself into my door as I watched him through the peephole, doing so with enough force that several screws flew out of the lock and there were wood shavings on the ground in front of the door. Believing it was an attempted break-in as I never actually have seen my said upstairs neighbor and if my key wasn't working, I wouldn't try to bust the door down, I was understandably displeased. When asking for this to be fixed the following day, Gina from the front office said there wasn't anyone in for maintenance until Monday, "What do you want me to do about it?" were her words. Oh, I don't know, maybe have someone check the integrity of the lock and rescrew all the screws that were loose/had fallen out because he shifted the plate of the lock? This will be the shortest lease I've ever had and the end of my lease can't come soon enough.Property Manager Responded

September 16, 2022I moved in here at Broadstone on the 18th of August 2022. Have been here only a few days and it is simply wow. Luxurious, clean, excellent maintenance, prompt response to any concerns. Very nice and quiet community indeed. A special thanks to Miss Paige in the office. You are an incredible person and very professional. I once visited the community, went around to other places, but came back to Broadstone because of you. My apt is super gorgeous but Paige played a huge role in me choosing to live ...here. The smile on her face is everything. She made me feel like family for sure.
