Atlanta is full of fine dining options, and of course French dining is well-represented at well, but for those apartment-ites looking for a taste of the French, mixed in with only the freshest of Southwestern ingredients need only take a short trip down to Vincent's on Camelback. For twenty-years their award-winning chef has been serving up French and Provencal cuisine, and the customers just keep coming for the tasty and unique flavors. When it comes to meals, you have some options. Whether you're coming in for lunch or dinner, there are two different options, the classic and the nouveau. The classic menu contains all of Vincent's old favorites, while the nouveau contains new dishes that are sure to become favorites down the line. They also have completely different menus depending on whether you're in for a light lunch of a sumptuous dinner. Either way, you won't go away hungry, and you're sure to leave satisfied. If you're up for a classic dinner, you can start your meal with duck tamales with Anaheim chile and raisins, corn ravioli with truffle oil, or macadamia crusted sea scallops with basil beurre blanc, or try their delicious spicy tomato and lobster bisque, pear salad with spicy pecans, bleu cheese and garlic Parmesan crisps, or Belgian endive and watercress with a mustard dressing. Main courses include sauteed veal sweetbreads with blue corn meal, red wine thyme sauce, and wild mushroom potato cup, grilled boar sirloin with celery root puree and habanero sauce, or grilled Maine lobster with habanero pasta. If you're up for a delectable dessert, try their Jack Daniels pecan pie with Jack Daniels ice cream. For something from their nouveau menu, your appetizer options include sauteed duck foie gras with caramelized pineapple, ratatouille tart with Parmesan crisps and black olive tapenade, or butternut squash ravioli with sage butter. If soup or salad is more your style, try their crab, avocado and celery root salad with olive oil and lemon dressing, lentil soup with bacon, or beet and goat cheese salad with walnut dressing. Scrumptious main dishes include braised lamb osso bucco and creamy polenta, braised beef short ribs with mild garlic, tomato, and tarragon, and duck confit with candied citrus sauce and sweet potato gratin. Fine dining options are all over the place in the big P, but if you want a taste of France mixed with the taste of the southwest, there's no better place. Phoenix's top spot for French cuisine is Vincent's on Camelback, and apartment residents won't want to stop coming to this wonderland of French cuisine.
