Rent here is much more affordable than elsewhere in the area -- and here is why -- The buildings/units/appliances are a little dated but in GREAT condition. On move in it appeared to have new carpets, fresh paint, and clean. The balcony is awesome and the living space is quiet. Living in many apartments over the years, neighbor noise is always my biggest issue (light sleeper and sensitive to noise in general), however, at Steeplechase I hardly ever hear my neighbors.. and if I do it is just a
...stomp or heavy step VERY occasional and it is dampened enough that most people probably wouldn't even notice it. Maintenance staff has been called 2 times -- once for a gas leak near my hot water tank valve and once to replace the refrigerator (they replaced with with a brand new model). The maintenance issues were handled within HOURS of filing a ticket and always solved within a day. Overall a wonderful place to live if you want to live in the Mason/Loveland area. You won't get the newest/fanciest/most modern refrigerator/stove/dish washer/oven/sink fixtures BUT you will get a wonderful community, a quiet living space, and a maintenance staff that acts pretty darn fast to issues. There also is always enough parking spaces. Overall I think they keep rent prices low because they maintain the units and appliances they have. (and buy new ones/upgrade when they absolutely need to.. which to me is not an issue because as long as my dishes are clean and my food is warm, and my living space is quiet.. I could care less if the appliance was from 1990 or 2017)
