Personable staff and safe community

I have had few issues and any time I have had questions or needed assistance, the management and maintenance staff have been extremely kind and diligent. It started with my tour. I was so nervous to move to a new complex after having a horrible experience at my last complex, but Jen made me feel safe, welcome, and hopeful about this community. She did everything to orient me well to what my life could look ...like here and she still remembers my name and my story and asks me how I’m doing every time I see her. June has also been particularly kind and helpful the couple times I have needed assistance from management - it is evident she cares about the residents and wants to promote a safe and happy community. The maintenance staff have also been wonderful and I’m so happy I made the decision to move here! I have had great luck with kind and supportive neighbors as well!Leer MásProperty Manager Responded

Luxury Prices for an Awful Experience
April 12, 2026 - Reseña de Apartments.comMy year living at The Groves in Milford was, in my experience, the worst year I've ever spent living in an apartment complex. You pay luxury prices to be treated terribly. We spent the whole year complaining about the unlivable heat in the apartment (due to living on top of the boiler room), spending huge electric bills to counteract the heat, having to use AC units year round, and dealing with disruptive neighbors around the clock. I could go on forever about all of the awful experiences I ...had living here, from children running loose in the parking lot asking me for money to buy bikes, to management being impossible to contact unless you're lucky enough to go to the office when they're actually in person. However, I only have so much precious time left on earth. If you're moving to Milford, go ANYWHERE ELSE!! Our team made multiple efforts to accommodate you and your roommate, including offering several opportunities to transfer to another apartment. We remained actively engaged throughout and took meaningful steps to address the concerns raised. As part of those efforts, we invested significantly in improvements within the apartment, specifically insulating the boiler room pipes, which resulted in a noticeable difference. Frustrating and Disappointing
April 8, 2026 - Reseña de Apartments.comThis review reflects my honest personal experience living in this apartment, and all statements are based on what I personally observed and experienced. I have never been this dissatisfied by an apartment. I have never felt so unheard by management when experiencing a major issue with my apartment. Within a week of moving here, we knew we had made the wrong decision renting at the Groves. I found the leasing office extremely difficult to work with, and we felt our concerns were not addressed ...in a timely or effective way. It has been a maddening experience trying to resolve any issues with them, and the back and forth has been incredibly frustrating. You can only talk to them directly IN PERSON because their phone system reroutes you to a call center. It has been a nightmare for us trying to get our deposit back. Here’s a short list of things we dealt with during the one year we rented here: * Our apartment frequently felt overheated, especially due to the boiler room below us. * We noticed thin walls that sound traveled through very well. We heard frequent dog barking and children screaming. * We frequently noticed strong odors in the hallways, including what smelled like marijuana. * We heard kids screaming outside nearly all day long from the school nearby. * We saw roaming groups of children and teens riding their bikes and playing in the active parking lots at all hours of the day and night, including throwing balls near the cars. * We often observed outside access doors being propped open, which made us feel the building was less secure and led to a solicitor coming to our door. I feel I could talk endlessly about the cons of living at this complex. We were not able to rent the apartment we initially chose that appeared as available on their website at the time. We ended up having to choose a different apartment because no other units were available within our move-in timeframe. This apartment happened to be the one above a boiler room. We had to run our AC units in January because the colder it was outside, the hotter the boiler room got to heat the other apartments and made our apartment an oven. We had to run multiple fans throughout the apartment in the summer, and it was still a miserable temperature in there. My life has improved in so many ways now that I no longer have to live there. I cannot wait to finally have our deposit back so I can put this entire chapter behind me and never have to talk to these people again.Leer MásProperty Manager Responded

Both the office staff and maintenance staff work effectively and in a timely manner. I would recommend living here!
Constant rent increase, unnecessary charges
September 26, 2022 - Reseña de Apartments.comOur rent was raised 3 times in 20 months. Absolutely nothing done in that time to improve the properties or grounds. We left the apartment in immaculate condition to ensure our security deposit and we were charged $842 for a carpet replacement for a red stain the size of a dime. Do not recommend at all, especially to those with children. You will be charged for anything.

October 30, 2016 - Reseña de Apartments.comI lived at this apartment complex for almost three years. Really loved this place. Staff on site were extremely helpful, cooperative and nice. Head of maintenance, Tom, was super nice and quick to respond. Never had an issue during my stay at this place. Outside is maintained very well. Each unit is super energy-efficient. My electric bill was only $25 to $35 in average. Heat and hot water was included. Plenty of guests parking and designated parking for renters. Well lit property at night with ...LED flood lights.
