December 17, 2019I love my property its cozy along with the amazing staff. I love that my apartment is close to the mall and other major store chains. Nice Place
December 17, 2019I moved here about a year ago. I love the complex. Friendly staff, the maintenance crew is pretty quick on response when you put in a service request. The biggest thing I like is that complex isnt too big and that it is quiet. The office mangement is big on safety and peace and will evict trashy people who cause problems too keep the peace and the the complex nice. Dont have any regrets moving to this complex.Property Manager Responded

Piper’s cover Fantastic
December 17, 2019I lived at Piper‘s Cove for over six years. They treated me like family. Very kind and caring staff from the office ladies to the Maintance men and women. You get to know them on a personal basis if I hadn’t moved on in my life and have a house I would still be there. It was very safe it was very clean and they got things done in a timely manner. very good people and it’s a wonderful place to live.Property Manager Responded

DON'T BE FOOLED
December 12, 2019I'm not the one that leave negative reviews but, I think everyone who is looking for somewhere to live need this information! I lived at Pipers Cove for over 6 years and I pretty much know a lot about this complex. The management is somewhat not so friendly except if its to benefit them or the property. The only people that are friendly are the maintenance crew, which they're over worked.. Management and office workers constantly gossip about the tenants and their personal business to other ...residents such as myself. I knew a lot of the residents personal business and it was shared a lot by the management team. The apartments are old of course, and recently been updated. All it is that they're doing is painting over old paint and steam cleaning the carpet. Its a lot of activity, and crime around this complex and its not gated, its opened to the public. Cars and trucks have been and still today been broken into, including mine...so don't get it confused. That is why they have beefed up security!! I was asked by management 3 months prior to write a "good"review for the complex because tenants who lived here wrote negative reviews and they wanted someone to help them shine. I truly regret that I did that. Tenants who lived here WERE telling the TRUTH!! and that's why I had enough and decided to leave as well. Please take heed this is NOT a joke or anything to take likely! But if you're desperate I do understand! Oh, one more thing that you should know, management is family here.. The manager and district manager is mother and daughter and they ALWAYS watch each others backs. So consider yourself WARNED....Property Manager Responded

Nice place to live!
August 24, 2019The complex is usually pretty quiet and the management takes security pretty seriously! Pet friendly and they love to get visits in the office from their furry tenants! The rent is very reasonable and the apartments are always clean and ready when you move in. The management is kind and helps you when you have a problem and maintenance is fast and helpful. You always see them running around to help the rest of the residents! Overall a great place to live and good price makes it better!Property Manager Responded

Old, gross, over-priced
August 24, 2019Units are old and full of mildew and mold and allergens. No matter how new the place looks, in those walls are old pipes and rotting wood and rotting wires. The new flooring is laid over old flooring, they don't even take the time to pull up the old floors that are rotting and dirty. Bathroom was disgusting when I moved in. Would say the best thing is they allow pets, but there is dog poop everywhere and it's just gross. Maintenance is understaffed so jobs are not always complete correctly or ...even done at all! Don't let that front office staff fool you with those smiles and warm welcomes. It's just a facade to get you to sign that lease. They will gossip to you and tell your business to other residents. Even the office manager gossips! Disgraceful. "Crystal clear pools?" My foot! They are always dirty. The noise is off the charts. Two bars across the street. Traffic and loud cars and music. High crime-rate area - ask them about the shootings and robberies and assaults IN the complex. The smell, I can't begin to describe the awful smell everywhere. When it rains it's even worse! You couldn't pay me to live here again. If you're desperate and this is all you can rent, good luck.Property Manager Responded

Piper's Cove Apartments
August 6, 2015This apartment complex has two pools that I have found to always be clean and clear, and the premises along with the office are always neat and orderly. It's a halway point between the city of Houston and the city of Galveston so pretty much everything from the beach to the city is about 30 minutes away!! Our apartment is a one bdrm and has a giant closet, along with a washer dryer unit inside the unit. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend!Property Manager Responded

Acceptable
July 22, 2015Built too long ago to be new, these are not luxury apartments by a long shot. I have crazy ants in my place, roaches too, though not rampant. Water pressure comes and goes, and the plumbing still works as it did in the old days--someone flushes a toilet in the complex and you're taking a cold shower.Appliances are from the 1980s, and not energy efficient, nor are the lights, outlets, or water. You'll spend more on energy because of this. Crime must have been an issue at some point because the ...first floor (of only 2 floors) have their patios boarded in by six foot wooden fences painted lead gray, kind of like little prison yards. Landscaping is non-existent (packed dirt is the common theme,) and the trees they do have drop so much sap, detritus, and house so many locusts and other insects that it's all people can do to keep from parking under them to keep their cars from being covered in a mix of bird droppings and leaves and sap. These apartments are not for living, they're for subsistence. If you have a choice--or if you stop by the complex--you'll move somewhere else, somewhere where you don't have to trade in your dignity for a place to live that you can afford. I, unfortunately, cannot afford $1000 a month for an apartment. These apartments are cheap--rent-wise, that is. As they should be. It's located central to shops and restaurants, too (of course, I don't sleep, watch DVDs, or clip my toenails in a shop or a restaurant, so I'm not sure location ranks as highly a qualifier as the actual apartment and grounds.) I have no problem with noise, and I have yet to be swallowed by a sinkhole. These things, but especially cheap, keep me here. Management is good, but, when you look at what they have to work with, they're fighting a losing battle. This complex is old and, when you consider how much it would cost to demolish the place and rebuild, you can understand why they persist offering "apartments for living just this side of prison." It's a shame there isn't a proliferation of apartments designed for affordable, conscientious living, instead of the rash of luxury apartments priced far beyond what the average person can afford. Bottom line, you can exist here. If that's all you want, I'll see you around. If you got a little money, go somewhere that was built this century.
