Built in 1929 as a deluxe apartment building, the Savoy Plaza Apartments was designed by famed architect Leland Bryant and has been lovingly restored and refurbished. This small but iconic building exudes a glamorous Old Hollywood charm. It has been home to a number of legendary figures, including Ringo Starr, Mickey Rourke, Peter Falk, Laura Linney, Lucy Web, Kevin Pollak, Amanda Peet, Tippi Hedren, and Marilyn Monroe. A glimpse of this unique residence can even be seen in the opening credits of the hit series Californication. With only 19 distinct units, the building fosters a rare sense of community—neighbors greet each other by name in the hallways, a surprising contrast to its central location in the heart of the city. Just steps from renowned restaurants, spas, theaters and boutiques, the neighborhood is vibrant. For your convenience Bristol Farms, Trader Joe’s, CVS are blocks away.
