Not a safe place
December 22, 2024This place had a shooting that the bullets went through the walls and even over parking spaces. A raid happened and they never kicked the woman out. They are okay with noise complaints because they never did anything about them.Property Manager Responded

APT not ready at the date in application, but refuse to refund application fees
July 8, 2021I applied for 1b1b apartment #2023 online on 5/22/2021 and paid $255.91. Before I start the application, the website shows it will be available on 7/2/2021, it is pretty close to my move-out day, so I applied. But later the leasing officer told me it won't be available until 7/9/2021. There will be a large gap between my move-out date and new available date, so I had to give up this apartment. I emailed the property manager to require the refund of the application fees, they AGREEd and said they ...will send me a check. BUT the check I received is INVALID! When I contact them again about the invalid check, no reply at all. I don't know what kind of game they are playing!Property Manager Responded

STAY AWAY
May 5, 2020STAY AWAY. I’ve lived in two units here (one a 2 bedroom and one a 3 bedroom) and both had serious issues including with the multiple rental companies that have managed this place. Please, say yourself headaches and living in a poorly kept place, and look elsewhere for the amount of rent they want to charge. 2 Bedroom; - We lived on the first floor and the second floor flooded our whole unit. It took them months to barely even slap on some new drywall and miss-matched paint all of the unit. - ...The windows would flood in every single time it rained, which was never resolved and meant I’d walk into the kitchen (it was a kitchen window) floor flooded when it rained. 3 Bedroom; - The AC smelled like straight pee and would leak every single time it turned on (like pour out water from the air filter vent). After asking them to test for mold, they confirmed it was dirty but no mold. Fast forward months and when the AC Unit was replaced the HVAC techs all told us that the unit was covered in mold EVERYWHERE on it. Village at Lakewood still denied mold was on it or that it even still leaked (when we have photo proof). To make it even better, every single time we moved units or when we finally moved out, they sent us out final bill 5-8 days after we moved out with a back dated date to make it past due (and automatically sent it to a collections agency). Talk about shady even after the fact of me purposely overpaying the second time around to avoid this (which they still sent me to collections for a payment that was already paid in full).Property Manager Responded

Great Place To Live
August 10, 2018I have lived at Lakewood Village for close to two years and have nothing but positive comments. The office staff are very friendly and are quick to respond to any issues that are brought up. The maintenance crew are also quite personable and, despite the number of units and work orders they receive, have always addressed any problems that I had within 2-3 days. My apartment has modern appliances, is spacious, and the grounds are well kept. I also like that there are swimming pools, hot tubs, ...a tennis court (one of the criteria why I initially chose this complex), and a small gym. The Lakewood area is a safe, quiet community, with a green belt for recreational activities and a 2 1/2-mile parkway - perfect for a morning run!Property Manager Responded

August 6, 2015I absolutely love my home! I walked into the model, while apartment hunting, and new where everything would go. I still checked out other locations just to be sure, as moving is a huge commitment. I lucked out! The tenant service here is the best I've experienced! On Christmas eve I recieved a call that I had a package. They offered to place it in my apartment, as I would still be at work when they closed. They've always been super speedy on maintenance calls, and they are always so sweet ...to my, ever so curious, daughter. Even the landscapers blow the leaves out of my patio.
