During our tenancy, our washing machine began to have problems (1st month after moving in). The water would not fill and despite visiting the office on a daily basis, maintenance did not do anything about the issue for approximately 10 weeks when they finally took a (very old) washing machine from a vacant unit to replace our broken washer. Prior to that I did laundry elsewhere or would use a bucket to fill the machine with water from the sink numerous times during the wash cycle. The management
...was ever changing so any issue that arose was ignored unless you went into the leasing office to complain numerous times. And that was if anyone was even there during business hours.. good luck! In the year we lived there, the AC broke twice, both times the maintenance repair guy told me that it is an extremely old unit. When we moved in, the key to the mailbox did not work and they couldn't provide a new one for a week. We were told the inside of the door would be painted upon moving in as it was damaged by the previous tenant. I reminded them of this a few times but it never happened. The best part was when I received an eviction notice after paying every single month on time. They had been applying my rent to the wrong account and I had to gather all the statements and documents to provide proof to the fact that I had paid rent in full, every month, on time. When they required we get a parking pass, they didn't even have my lease in the computer system (9 months in to my lease) nor could they find a copy so I had to bring my original lease so that they could enter it in properly.
We cleaned the apartment to a sparkling clean finish upon vacating. During the walk through, the manager said it looked incredible and we would not be charged a cleaning fee from our security deposit. However, when we received our security deposit, $100 was deducted for a carpet cleaning fee and another $125 was deducted for housekeeping fee. We submitted a letter to challenge the charges and after waiting 8 months with no response from management, I don't intend on ever seeing that money again. Thieves.
