The property is in lawsuits with city because the property manager renovated the building without the proper permits or protocol. My apartment was rented out without the right electrical permits. It took over six months of my lease for the permit to be granted by the city. Holes had to be cut into the apartment for the inspection and, afterwards, I had to chase maintenance to fix them. The renovations were also not done in time for move-in despite the apartment being advertised as ready. After ...
six months of runarounds I had to withhold rent for the bathtub to be finished. There's also been such a high turnover with all the different people doing maintenance. Lastly, I have not received my deposit back even though it's been over 21 days and no pre move out inspection was scheduled despite my request.
