Slowly Declining
February 21, 2023We've lived in this apartment for quite a while now, and when we started, it was great. However, since then, there have been two changes in management in the building and amenities have declined. The gym is pretty sparse. People did bring their own weights up there to make it a little better, but management put a stop to that. If you want any weight/strength training machines, or really anything besides cardio and a couple free weights, you'll need an outside membership. There is a laundry ...room downstairs, but it is frequently full as there aren't enough machines for the size of the building. In addition, the machines really need to be replaced with newer, more functional ones since they seem pretty old. Also, the service they started using for laundry machine operation crashes a decent amount, and it can take a whlie for the card reader to work. The elevators are extremely slow moving. The pipes also have had issues that required the water to be shut off multiple times in the past month. The internet was pretty reliable when we moved it, but it's been going in and out a lot more lately. I am giving three stars because management is still nice, and they did keep the rent the same last year when renewing the lease, which was a big help. The apartment is pricy for the size. If rent increased at all, we'd have to seriously consider moving.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Best Apartment Management And Maintenance
June 19, 2018I'm starting my 3rd year here. Great space with wonderful details. Not your average apartment. Both the management and maintenance staff are top of the line. Easy public transist access. Light and airy rooms with high ceilings and lots of windows. Closet space galore. I plan on staying...forever. Great community here in Roger's Park. And the best beach and park in Chicago is a block away.Review from Apartments.com
Everyone should rent here!
September 23, 2015This building is amazing! I love the key card entry. It makes me feel super safe knowing people can't break into my apartment. I live on the 11th floor and the view is breathe taking. It's perfect for college students cause a lot of young people also live here. The managers are really nice and helpful. Everyone should live here!Review from Apartments.com
Not large, not small, but just right!
July 27, 2015I recently moved into 1246 w Pratt and I love it! The management does a great job of conpleting service request in a timely manner. The building is clean and well lit. It also doesn't hurt that recently renovated the whole building so everything is new. In addition to a great management staff, the building has onsite laundry, bicycle storage, and a cute little gym on the top floor facing the lake. I would reccome do this building to singles, couples, and students. The resident population is ...pretty diverse in age range so overall the building is quiet!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
