the buildings he owns. I have never had anything worked on in my apartment. He has come in a few times though to spray for bugs (no bugs, just routine spray) and to have a yearly property inspection done. The land lord writes monthly newsletters and puts at your door. This is where you would find out if he will be coming into the units in the next couple weeks, like for example for a routine bug spray. Like I said, the place wasn't super fancy but it did what my roommate and I needed at the time when we were both going to school and working full time: provided us a safe place to lay our heads at night and keep us warm in the winter. The rent was also within our budget. The place was perfect for us during this time in our life. The only real issue I experience was with mold growing in the bathroom. The apartment was pretty clean when we moved in with an exception of there being mold on the blinds in the bathroom (idk if the land lord just missed this or what bc he's a very thorough person). We clean the mold off the blinds but it grew back on the ceilings and walls. Opening the door when showering "wastes the AC" and opening the door "sets off the fire alarm" and if we wanted an exhaust fan for the bathroom we'd have to "install it ourselves" which is not something I wanted to do as I only planned to be here for a year or less. Seems like a weird thing to put on the tenants to do if the mold is a known thing. (I hate to be negative but another thing is the walls are paper thin and you can literally hear your neighbor sneeze) Other than that which wasn't even that big of a deal, just annoying to clean, I have been very happy here.
