An off-campus dorm
March 4, 2024Landlord has a lot of rules, which I understand is necessary for a college town, but many are extreme to the point that it infringes on the tenant's enjoyment of the apartment. Apartments aren't separately metered, so electric is split among all tenants.Property Manager Responded
March 13, 2024Rules and regulations are outlined in the lease at 1537 South Water St. Tenant found all to be acceptable (not extreme) upon taking possession. Sharing the cost of electric (the only utility not provided) is also outlined in the lease agreement upon taking possession. If rules and sharing electric cost hinder tenants enjoyment one should rent only those apartments having no rules and get utility service metered in the tenants own name.
