kindly offered to speak with the company to see if moving out on August 15th would be acceptable, with rent paid only until that date. Unfortunately, the company refused and required me to pay rent until the end of August, which I reluctantly accepted. On move-out day, I returned the apartment in extremely clean condition – I disinfected the bathroom, thoroughly cleaned the cabinets, fridge, oven, microwave, and everything else, leaving it even cleaner than when I first moved in. Still, the manager explained that if he didn’t charge me something for cleaning, the head office would question it, so I was billed $125 for cleaning. I want to note that when I first moved in, the apartment was not spotless: the range hood filters were greasy and dirty (I had to wash them multiple times), and there was dog hair inside and under the washing machine, which I cleaned myself. Despite this, I didn’t complain and handed over the unit in much better condition than I received it. Overall, while the building manager was truly kind, understanding, and supportive, I found the company’s policies and customer treatment to be very unfair. In comparison, my experience with the company managing my new apartment has been much more reasonable and professional.
