At least the location is good
March 11, 2016The location is good. Very convenient walk to the metro or a short walk to U St. The units are old, there is nothing that can be considered a perk. Maintenance takes forever and a day to fix anything, including rodent infestations. The building entry and hallways are filthy and look like the haven't been cleaned in a few years. My windows were not properly installed and they let air in. You will not be able to control the heat in the units...apparently it's one size fits all (80 degrees). ...This was a problem because many of us had to keep our windows open all winter to keep from sweating in our units. The washers and dryers are okay, I often have to dry and wash things a few times because the units don't always do a good job ($2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry). I will miss the location but I cannot wait for my lease to end so I can move. I will never rent from Fitzgerald Properties again. I am still trying to get them to resolve an issue from November 2015...it's March 2016 now.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Affordable Studios in Great Area
September 22, 2015This building is great for folks who are looking for an affordable studio in a great area -- right in the heart of Dupont, and walking distance to U Street, Adams Morgan and Logan Circle. The building is also rent controlled! That said, the building is very old, a walk-up, and management is not timely in fixing issues within units. The lobby, stairs and hallways are slightly unkempt. My unit is not upgraded (no dishwasher, old kitchen and bathroom), but I know some in the building are. August 19, 2015I love our apartment, but it is in a basement with little natural light. It has tons of room and is cheap, considering it's 5 bedrooms. Looking for something comparable in a great location!Review from Apartments.com
