I wouldn’t recommend 19 West Apartments. They add extra fees for things like small patches of grass you’re required to maintain yourself. There’s no grace period for rent—late fees hit immediately on the 1st. Maintenance is poor; roof repairs have been needed for over eight months with no action. Management has changed four times in just over two years, and the quality of the community has declined with louder tenants and no oversight. With the new tenants came roaches, and pest control hasn’t ...

this is genuinely the worst place I have ever lived. they moved in the most violent, loud drug addicts next to me months ago & it has been non stop, constant drama fighting and stress. the new management is rude, dismissive and incompetent. they have refused to do anything about it and have been nothing but rude and unhelpful to me through this whole ordeal. yet they ALWAYS have time to look for new charges to make up every month, including fees for “grass outside and blinds not showing” that go ...

Have been here for a little over a year and a half, they have had recent management changes from when we first moved in and earlier this year went from not having any issues to now acquiring issues with the manager. They only care about taking your money and do not care about the residents what so ever. They are both rude over the phone and in person. I wish I had never moved here!!! I have never lived in a rental where I get charged for every thing that maintenance comes to fix. I’ve been charged for light bulbs, light fixture covers, getting locked out of my apartment. Also, I’m being charged 100% for the AC replacement. The whole point of renting is that those things are usually covered but here it is like being a homeowner…..Be careful how they apply late fees too.

I lived there for one year. I was the first resident to live in my apartment unit, and shortly after moving in I started to notice the flooring was rising. Thought I could fix it myself but it just kept coming up. (assuming they rushed the build time).
The dirt from outside always got into the house (Lubbock is windy so this happens often, but its unusually dusty all the time from the windows and doors in these apartments) I also noticed the counter top behind my keurig was lifting off the ...
wall. Basically these apartments were cheaply made. The staff and maintenance people are really nice and helpful when needed, just cheaply made apartments so tell them literally every issue or they will charge you for their cheap issues (learned the hard way). Also they require that the back yard weeds are pulled out (literally every one) or they will also charge you/fine you, even though they did not build these apartments well and the weeds literally over grow (nearly full size bushes) every time it rains. The apartment served its job for one year but if you're looking for something long term, maybe not the best place because of the natural wear and tear of a cheaply made apartment. They also do random walk-ins (even when you're not home) so be prepared for that. Never had any issues but it was just an unexpected right they have when they signed the lease. Over all they were okay. I've stayed in better and I've stayed in worse.
