Do not rent from Katz
October 16, 2019I was super happy to find that Katz was offering a new renovated unit! After doing a quick walkthrough, I decided to sign a lease. It was my first time renting with Katz despite my friends and coworkers telling me not to. I thought, "It really can't be that bad!". Turns out, it is. After moving in, I started to notice the awful workmanship on all of the renovations. Crooked cabinets, smashed drywall, poor painting, and more. My unit was bad, but so is the rest of the building. The front door ...doesn't lock properly which frequently lets thieves get in to steal packages. There is no outgoing mailbox. Lights frequently are out in the hallways and aren't replaced with 0 way to request maintenance online. Even after requesting maintenance, it takes Katz WEEKS to send anyone out. "We Take Pride In Our Properties" is the exact opposite of what I'd say about Katz. Please listen to your friends/coworkers. Not worth the Cost
August 11, 2015This is one of the more expensive properties on the East Side of Milwaukee and it is most definitely not worth the cost. The building is falling a part. We lived there for one year and in that year the elevator broke more times than we could count. There was water streaming down the elevator shaft because the roof was leaking so profusely. And our apartment was not very well finished. They really appear to wait until the last minute to replace/fix anything and when they do replace/fix ...anything it is poorly done. An apartment that costs this much money should not have these issues. It is nice that there is an on-site manager and maintenance is relatively quick to respond to issues but many of these issues wouldn't be issues if they were done well the first time or not allowed to get to such a bad point.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
