Closing the pool in the middle of the Summer?!?!

What a joke. Management failed to inform me when signing my lease last month that they would be closing the pool area to repaint IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER! We’ve just been informed that the pool will be closed for an estimated 30 days and in reality that means up to a couple of months. This is something that could have easily been done in a later month in the year where the pool isn’t being used. What a joke!

Disappointed that the building is called “luxury living” and we are charged for amenities when one elevator has been broken for a year, the other two for 5 months, the pool and jacuzzi are out of order for a few months now, and the building is left accessible to the public because none of the doors or security gate in the parking garage function properly. Terrible management, the hot tub has been broken for about a year, the pool is green and they need to hire professionals instead of letting maintenance just continue to fill the pool with tap water and then throw in shock to try and kill the algae. The elevators have been broken for 6 months, and they spend money on new a new video door access system, but yet the doors don't even lock so maybe fix that first to actually make the access system necessary. Despite small improvements to the building and it's amenities, the building is still not very secure. One pedestrian gate doesn't have a latch (and thus is always open) and the door to the building on the other side of the fenced in area doesn't always close after being opened. Interior doors from the garage to the building also don't close dependably, allowing more public access to the inside of the building. Elevators are out of service for months at a time. The staff is great. Unfortunately the complex is under new ownership again, which means all elevators, Jacuzzi entrance gates are not working. The staff again is great and gone out of their way to help my husband and I. I understand these things are all out there control. Hopefully the owners will make this place like it was when is was This place used to be called Ilume and make them luxury apartments again.

The location of the apartments is great if you are wanting the closest to Oak Lawn strip. They take a bit of time fixing important things like elevators. Things like that need to be fixed within a day or so. That is a huge inconvenience for a building that is 5 stories high. The staff is nice. The hallways used to be cleaned every week or so. My experience has been pretty good here. I feel that the staff are trying their best with working through the problems of the building and fixing things will take some time. They have been communicating on the status of things around the building. I do wish the elevators would be back up and running. But overall it’s quiet and convenient.
