Careful with your security deposit

The building management is good and repairs are prompt, but so far every single tenant who has left from this one or next door (they own both) has had deductions from their deposit from things not covered under the law such as painting and replacing carpeting which they do after everyone moves. They also illegally charge a non refundable pet deposit. So to sum up it's a great building with good management, but take TONS AND TONS of pictures when you move in and familiarize yourself with CA Code ...

1950.5 because you will be taking them to small claims when you move out.
