Avenue 5 is now managed by some other company other than buzzuto and since the change nothing ! Absolutely nothing working in the gym and it closed “Always was open 24/7. The outside windows of the apartment have not been cleaned since 2023 so you ca clean but the view is trash and dirty because of this issue. The elevators are broke more than working! Residents never pick up dog pop /no dog bags and treats since the switch from buzzuto. Last but not least the butterfly app to manage our guest ...

This is the first and most well deserved negative review I’ve ever felt compelled to write. The business practices at this property are deeply concerning in every aspect—from phone calls and emails to in person interactions.
My first poor experience happened when I contacted them about several apartments listed on their website. I made five phone calls and none were answered. If even one had been picked up I could have saved myself the time money and effort of coming in for a tour.
After no ...
response I emailed the property. Someone finally replied and I immediately sent my availability. Yet after more than 24 hours with no reply I decided to walk in since their website and on site signage advertise a 24/7 concierge desk.
Upon arrival I heard a resident clearly surprised to see the desk staffed. I explained I was there for a tour. The concierge simply asked “Is this a walk in I don’t think they will take a walk in” with no greeting or assistance. Eventually she checked with a leasing agent. After back and forth the agent reluctantly agreed to see me in 15 minutes.
While waiting I overheard residents complaining about the elevator not working. Thirty minutes passed with no action before the agent finally showed up. The actual tour lasted two minutes. To make matters worse the listings failed to indicate that these were senior resident units.
As I waited for my Uber I overheard a resident say verbatim “It would be nice if the front door actually worked.” That statement sums up the entire experience here. Everything from staff interactions to essential infrastructure is severely lacking. Professionalism is non existent and customer service is utterly disgraceful. I cannot imagine the daily frustrations residents must endure.
My advice is clear do not tour or live here.

Wonderful experience overall! Not only are the units beautiful aesthetically but the energy of the building, residents and caring staff makes this place a special home. I highly recommend any one who chooses to live in Washington DC to choose 555. Big shout out to Stacey, Dorita and Jonna who have made this home a home as well as a thoughtful and very one of a kind welcome (my spouse and I just moved in a few days ago and couldn’t be more happy, truly.) ?

First and foremost, the staff is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Each and every one of them is so friendly, incredibly helpful, and very accommodating.
The building itself is fantastic; it's modern, beautiful, and has tons of ammenities like multiple rooftop lounges, rooftop outdoor seating with a great view, a gym, monthly happy hours for residents, a user-friendly app, great online system, and is very pet friendly (they have dog treats ready at the front desk!) They event sent me a little something for my ...
birthday!
I feel safe and secure living here with the need to use a key fob for access to everything, a concierge at the desk from morning until late evening, entrance to building only via being buzzed in with the requesting guest being shown on camera, and all guests needing to sign in.
I also have to mention the residents here. In my last building, no one spoke to each other but here just about everyone gives you a friendly greeting and a bit of chit chat, I just love it!
The location is so convenient! Within walking distance of 3 metros, 5 min walk to Starbucks, 7 min walk to the Wharf, about a mile from the National Mall and close to plenty of museums without being caught up in all of the D.C. chaos. Oh, and if you have a car there's an attached underground garage with great parking.
Move in while you can because this place is an absolute gem!

I did a virtual tour with Stacey. Firstly, she was very helpful and super informative. We toured the lobby, common areas and one-bedroom apartments on the 5th and 11th floors, which have great views. The layouts of the apartments are great - no un-used spaces and I really like the unique doors.
Stacey also followed-up the same day with the details of the apartments we saw and on additional questions I had during our tour.

Great community atmosphere and wonderful staffs to make you feel right at home. 555 is a great place to be and I'm very happy with my decision. Though, the whole team made it an easy one!
If you put in a maintenance request, the maintenance team Paul and Antonio respond very quickly, usually within 24 hours even if it's not an emergency. The concierge desk is a nice touch.
