A Place to Call Home
June 8, 2024I have lived in apartment communities for most of my adult life. I just like knowing maintenance is only a phone call away. 701 South has turned out to be the absolute best. It is quiet, quaint and friendly. And this is due to the professionalism of the management team. They listen to any concerns you may have and always make reasonable accommodations. They do not tolerate bad behavior. And the maintenance team is friendly and quick to respond to any maintenance issues you may have although those ...a few and far between. This August I will be starting my 3rd year here and I have no intentions of moving in the future.Property Manager Responded

obsessed with money orders
May 26, 20241. Super skinny upstairs breezeway - measure before moving in upstairs 2. Super small toilet - child size 3. Charges $2.95 to pay by check online 4. Add $65 to what you see on apartments.com for fees and water. 5. plumbing constantly going out and emergency repairs - Lots of water leaking that causes the water to get turned off. Have to wonder if this affects the water bill. 6. close to S. University and hear police sirens a lot and at all hours. 7. There seem to be repairs ongoing. The ...workers were on the roof right above my bedroom at 6:55am making much noise. 8. every month i got a text and an email about late payments on rent, even though i've never been late. They send the messages to everyone apparently. 9. I wanted to make sure that the autopay would take out the correct amount for only 9 days, and not the full month amount. Was told that it would be best to pay with a money order. She didn't say that I should turn off my autopay in Active Building, only that I should pay with a money order. Active Building debited the full month's rent out. It should have been made clear that I should turn it off. One would not know to do so, especially since it's linked to our account and water bill. Even still, it should not have taken out a full month's rent, only the 9 days. She was more concerned with getting a money order than helping me. 10. It seems as though they want to separate themselves from the online autopay feature, but it's connected because the water amount is placed on the bill. 11. there is a $75 carpet cleaning fee.Property Manager Responded

Great Place!
May 3, 2024My husband and I have lived here for 8 months and have had a great experience. We moved to Mobile for work and I was very stressed about finding a place almost sight unseen. Courtney and Dana were very patient and helpful! The complex is very pet friendly, which we love for our pup. The maintenance crew is amazing! Jarvis and Tom have both come to our rescue right away when we needed help with something. Leaking Ceiling
April 5, 2024Ceiling leaked instead of fixing the issue it was ignored. Service employee listed “.” As how he fixed the issue. Ghosted out now they pretending like they don’t know anything. Do not move in
August 30, 2022I moved in six months ago and there’s a hole on the outside of the roof on the side of the building the manager said it was going to be fixed still it’s not fixed and now for a month now there’s been an animal inside my roof I can hear it walking around I have emailed in contact and nothing has been done the building outside is falling apart it needs lots of work not worth the money for the amount of rent they charge.Review from Apartments.com

New management TERRIBLE
June 7, 2022When I first started living here, the property manager was wonderful. Kind, attentive, and on top of everything. This new manager is a nightmare. She is rude and does not care about the tenants at all. She also began conducting apartment inspections every three months which is incredibly violating and anxiety inducing. Not to mention she has time to do that but the complex itself is falling apart - the stairs are rotting, which is dangerous, and the amount of potholes is ridiculous.
