I have a love/hate relationship with my one-bedroom apartment. I love it because it's affordable and it's a roof over my head. I also love it because it is close to many things I love: the beach, malls, friends, nightlife, restaurants, etc. Also, the landlord is very forgiving if you are a few days late on the rent occasionally and my son and I can have our cats here. I hate it because it is older and doesn't have any amenities (no screened in patio area, no pool, only one washer and two dryers ...
for several buildings, and so-so maintenance), and one of my walls is mushy (there's obviously a leak) and the landlord is aware of it, but hasn't fixed it yet. But, I guess it is all about location, location, location. :) I hope I win...I could use a year of free rent!!
