91 Emery St Apartments

sprawling yards, it's slowly turned into a 'downtown' neighborhood, adjacent to Portland's arts district and the Old Port. Our house was once-- I imagine-- inhabited by a big family. It's now four apartments, with ours occupying the first floor. Our place has a lot of character, some came with the apartment and some we added ourselves. But it's also lacking. We've got no backyard to speak of, no real green space on our lot, and this old house has become a fixer-upper over the years. Faucets leak, pipes break, and as the walls constrict in the winter you start to see the clapboard through the gaps (meaning it gets very cold for us from about November through April).
