Initially, we loved everything about this building, an any small inconveniences were outweighed by how great the staff was and how safe the building felt. Sadly, after an ill advised change in management, many of the things that made this building special have fallen by the wayside.

Horrible management and communication

It has been terrible living here these past couple months. A pipe burst caused a ton of damage and we were forced to relocate. It’s been two months and there is still a lot of damage in the building, which is making it really hard to live here.
We were told we would be getting a month of free rent because of the situation, but now they’re going back on their word. It’s been frustrating, stressful, and disappointing dealing with all of this.

I had a really awful experience living here. A pipe burst caused major damage and forced many tenants to move out temporarily. Management told us we’d be getting a free month of rent but then went back on that and said we are rent responsible.

Residents who were displaced from their homes were provided with rent abatement during the time they were unable to occupy their units. I’ve lived at Arq for about four years now, which I think speaks volumes. While it does come with a high price tag, I’ve had an overall great experience living here—especially given the amazing location and views. I love living at ARQ, the location is perfect when you work in DTLA or regularly need to be at LAX. The neighborhood is evolving and has beautiful restaurants and bars, several supermarkets and most importantly is safe. The buildings amenities are like a luxury hotel. I have lived in many different buildings and never have I seen the staff especially the manager Brandon care so much about what people think and how to improve their experience.
