Trash
October 6, 2022This place is trash since the new management company took over. They don’t clean the breezeways, they don’t do their job, they don’t do anything. I imagine they sit around all day scratching their heads without a clue how to run this place. Everything here is dirty now, the dumpster area, junky cars, sketchy looking people come and go whenever. The maintenance is unprofessional and so is the office staff, they don’t even have maintenance wearing uniforms. They want to raise rent not 50 not even ...100 but 200 dollars LMAO they are crazy this place ain’t worth more than 500 anymore. I could spend that type of money renting at a nicer place. September 16, 2022I have been living here for over 2 years . It was a nice place until the new property management took over. ALDEN PARK suck. Your car and apartment will get broken into. The pool is always locked or broke. They don't answer the phone. Maintenence doesn't fix anything on time. For the money that we pay you can go on fancy apartment.com or tx high risers for a better home that will cater to your needs. Management is extremely rude and let's not talk about the trash. I can't wait until my lease is ...up please don't rent here ?!Property Manager Responded

Dont Move Here
September 10, 2022I have never written a review here before. I had a good experience in the beginning with Cortland , ever since Alden park took over I had a terrible experience. 1. They did not prepare for the transition at all. 2. The pool was closed for 2 weeks and they had a sign up "the pool is closed for cleaning will open tomorrow." But they knew it wouldn't be cleaned in time and lied" 3. Trash Valet was canceled for a week. Theses amenities are included in rent but no credit was given for the ...inconvenience. 4. My move out was a very stressful process, they lost my 60-day notice and tried to penalize me for it. 5. It been over a month since I moved out and I haven't received a finalized statement. 6. They never answer the phone or even emails. 7. I have to drive there again because they haven't sent my deposit and they wont anwser the phone for an update. TERRIBLE
September 6, 2022Yes the apartments LOOK nice at first. That is until you have nasty trash all over the property. I’m talking, a woman’s sanitary pad stuck to the wall. The people that reside here can be so loud and they like to throw parties…my parked car was wrecked into because of a drunk driver downstairs. The most infuriating part is that it is impossible to get ahold of staff. I’m currently freaking out bc it’s the 6th of the month and I noticed that rent hasn’t been withdrawn so I want to be reassured that ...I won’t get charged a late fee on something that is not my fault and it is impossible to get on the phone with someone. I had another valid concern regarding my 60 day notice. I emailed not only the the manager but regional manager as well via email and NO reply whatsoever. I’m so disappointed. Don’t move in here please.
September 1, 2022This is the worst apartment complex I’ve ever moved into and that’s saying something considering that I’ve been a renter for over 10 years. The neighbors are the worst. Extremely loud and manager will not take action to allow us to have a comfortable living space. There is no sleep as they don’t sleep until 3 am just to wake up at noon and start again the next day. Our AC broke 3 times already within 5 weeks. Maintenance has only applied temporary fix even when I’ve described what the solution is ...they hesitate because it’s apparently not worth the budget. Property manager listens but no action. Dog won’t hunt. Don’t move in here and go pay high rent somewhere else.Property Manager Responded

Not a safe place
August 26, 2022Gates need to be completely revamped bc break ins happen at least once a month. My partners tools got completely wiped out from company truck. Don’t feel safe here. :(Review from Apartments.com
mediocre, crime increasing
August 2, 2022While most of the neighbors are wonderful and friendly, the management of the property is lackluster. First, the trash is a huge problem. While the trash pick-up service is easy and convenient, many residents do not follow the rules and leave their trash out at all hours (and in unapproved containers) which attracts raccoons. Therefore, there is constantly trash strewn throughout the hallways. It's gross to come home to other people's garbage throughout the complex. Management could easily ...enforce the trash guidelines and charge fines (per the lease,) but they simply do not. If you have dogs, be aware that they can easily get into the remnants of trash, including unsafe food and bones. Secondly, crime is noticeably increasing. Lately, there have several cases of car wheels and tires being stolen as well as a few car break-ins. The call box at the front gate was destroyed recently, and the gates have been inoperable and left wide open since. Even the second gate is broken, so both entrances to the complex are open without any security 24/7. There seems to be no rush to repair the gates even though criminal activity is greatly increasing. Furthermore, it seems that management has a "hands-off" approach to the problem. When my neighbor's apartment was burglarized a few months ago, management seemed apathetic, even refusing her request (per the sheriff's office) to post on the resident's webpage asking the neighbors for any helpful footage of the burglars on nearby Ring cameras. Finally, the amenities offer too little for the number of residents in the building. The gym and the pool both are quite small for a complex with 10 buildings. While the pool area is nice, the pool is always busy and very loud. It's very common for residents to play music quite loudly at the pool. The gym is fine if you're only looking for basic equipment: some treadmills, bikes, and free weights.Property Manager Responded
