As someone who has lived in multiple different Carbondale apartments for the last few years, THIS apartment is the one you want! Lisa is an incredible landlord and truly cares about her tenants. I really enjoy living in this apartment. I have been living here for a year and a half, and I can confidently say it is the best option in Carbondale if you are looking for a studio with your own private bathroom and kitchen. The price is very reasonable, the maintenance is reliable, and Lisa is the best and most supportive landlord anyone could have.

This apartment was a great place to live. Lisa is an excellent landlord who genuinely cares about her tenants and keeps everything running smoothly. Maintenance was always handled quickly, and she was always willing to help. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well maintained with great facilities. I will definitely miss living here.

Everyone is super nice, landlords and maintenance are super responsive and great to talk to as well. I wish I could've stayed through my entire time in Carbondale because Lisa is so easy to work with compared to any other landlords in town, but I wanted roommates. On top of everything the actual unit was comfortable and a great first apartment, I would highly recommend living there!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I loved my little apartment! It has everything you need. I stayed here for 3 years for my post-bac and 1st year of med school. I did not have a car and found everything to be within walking distance. School, supermarket and the strip of local restaurants are all within 15 mins walking distance. The light bill was never high. Internet was nice, some tenants share wifi for a small charge which I did for a while and it worked but I ended up getting a new ...

The highlight of my stay here was Lisa (the landlord). She is such a beautiful person. She cares about her tenants and is always quick to reply to any messages. If maintenance is taking a while she checks in to let you know she hasn’t forgotten which I always appreciated. I only needed maintenance once for a water pressure issue in my bathroom sink and it was fixed quickly. I never had any problems with any pests or loud neighbors.

I had the pleasure of living at Ambassador Studio Apartments for a full academic year, and I can confidently say it was an excellent experience. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from campus, making it perfect for students or anyone affiliated with the university. Perfect Affordable Housing for University

Lisa, the landlord, is probably the best landlord you can get. She is super fun, caring, and will respond very quickly to anything you need to talk about. They charge extremely reasonably for having a full kitchen and a nice bathroom. The closet is also very large and should easily accommodate anyone.
The rooms themselves are the perfect size for one person and have everything needed to live comfortably. Distance to campus is pretty much unbeatable and practically the same as the "on campus" ...

I do want to warn any other women who would be walking to and from campus to carry some sort of pepper spray or the like. The crime in the neighborhood (and really just the city) can be pretty scary but the apartment itself is very safe. They even have some volunteer men to walk you to the building entrance from your car if desired!
Here's the reason why I had to take a star off:
While the maintenance workers are really nice, they can be very slow to fix anything that you need done. And sometimes the job they do can be a bit mediocre as mold in the room was not properly taken care of. When stinkbug season came around, instead of fixing the windows they instead just put some foil duct tape around the edges (which did fix the issue but could have been better).
Overall the place is unbeatable in terms of price for what you get. I would highly recommend this place to students coming in!

My first time moving off campus, I was looking for somewhere close, convenient, and affordable. I was given all three when I first visited the Ambassador Studios. The interior is perfect for a neat and tidy one person livable space. The proximity to school and pricing was unbeatable. Not to mention I gained a trusting bond with my landlord. This is important to me living on my own and knowing I can rely on the property manager to help with ANY issue possible. Happy to have found this place.
