First apartment on my own
July 30, 2025Everyone is super nice, landlords and maintenance are super responsive and great to talk to as well. I wish I could've stayed through my entire time in Carbondale because Lisa is so easy to work with compared to any other landlords in town, but I wanted roommates. A perfect cozy home away from home

Coming from another country, it meant so much to find a space that was cozy, clean, and perfectly suited for a single student. The rent is very budget-friendly, and the home itself is simple, warm, and I always keep it well-organized. What truly made the experience special was Lisa, the landlord—she is incredibly kind, helpful, and always made sure everything ran smoothly. Best place to stay as a student
July 7, 2025I cannot recommend this place enough. I loved my little apartment! It has everything you need. I stayed here for 3 years for my post-bac and 1st year of med school. I did not have a car and found everything to be within walking distance. School, supermarket and the strip of local restaurants are all within 15 mins walking distance. The light bill was never high. Internet was nice, some tenants share wifi for a small charge which I did for a while and it worked but I ended up getting a new ...customer promotion to get my own wifi. The highlight of my stay here was Lisa (the landlord). She is such a beautiful person. She cares about her tenants and is always quick to reply to any messages. If maintenance is taking a while she checks in to let you know she hasn’t forgotten which I always appreciated. I only needed maintenance once for a water pressure issue in my bathroom sink and it was fixed quickly. I never had any problems with any pests or loud neighbors.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Great Place
May 7, 2025I had the pleasure of living at Ambassador Studio Apartments for a full academic year, and I can confidently say it was an excellent experience. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from campus, making it perfect for students or anyone affiliated with the university. The area is also well-connected with easy access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. The studio itself was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, offering a comfortable and quiet space to ...focus on work or relax. Internet access was reliable, which was especially important for my academic work. One of the highlights of my experience was working with Lisa, the property manager. She is professional, friendly, and always responsive. Whether it was a quick question or a maintenance request, she handled everything with care and flexibility. It’s rare to find such a supportive and approachable manager—Lisa truly goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel comfortable and heard. I’m very happy with my time at Ambassador and plan to return next year. Perfect Affordable Housing for University
June 22, 2022Lisa, the landlord, is probably the best landlord you can get. She is super fun, caring, and will respond very quickly to anything you need to talk about. They charge extremely reasonably for having a full kitchen and a nice bathroom. The closet is also very large and should easily accommodate anyone. The rooms themselves are the perfect size for one person and have everything needed to live comfortably. Distance to campus is pretty much unbeatable and practically the same as the "on campus" ...apartments. I do want to warn any other women who would be walking to and from campus to carry some sort of pepper spray or the like. The crime in the neighborhood (and really just the city) can be pretty scary but the apartment itself is very safe. They even have some volunteer men to walk you to the building entrance from your car if desired! Here's the reason why I had to take a star off: While the maintenance workers are really nice, they can be very slow to fix anything that you need done. And sometimes the job they do can be a bit mediocre as mold in the room was not properly taken care of. When stinkbug season came around, instead of fixing the windows they instead just put some foil duct tape around the edges (which did fix the issue but could have been better). Overall the place is unbeatable in terms of price for what you get. I would highly recommend this place to students coming in!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Best Landlord
March 7, 2022My first time moving off campus, I was looking for somewhere close, convenient, and affordable. I was given all three when I first visited the Ambassador Studios. The interior is perfect for a neat and tidy one person livable space. The proximity to school and pricing was unbeatable. Not to mention I gained a trusting bond with my landlord. Great Landlords and Nice Neighboors
May 20, 2021I can't say enough about Lisa. Always responds in a timely manner and gives enough notice on all issues that may affect you and your neighbors. Always ready to help and is on top of any and all maintenance issues! The rooms themselves are nice, with a fully furnished kitchen (which I made great use of) and a full bathroom with great water pressure and hot water.
