December 13, 2025Part of original post: Two security gates meant for security, broken. I don’t understand how brand new fire places, saunas and workout rooms can be installed and reinstalled with noooooo hesitation(which are all things outside of your tenants apartments). This is a place where no one sleeps but is used for show and to make you money. But a refrigerator meant to store me and my son’s food has to be evaluated for replacement. Even though it’s over 20 years old. I sent an email to the property ...manager here before close of day yesterday 10/3 didn’t hear anything all day on 10/4.. until I made a phone call to the office at 5 something in the evening( I was busy with my son and his schooling and therapy) just to hear oh they are gonna come tomorrow. I was told oh we got busy on the property today so we didn’t make it over here today. If I hadn’t called no one would have showed up. I’m sorry a refrigerator is a necessity. I’ve had food go bad .. because it doesn’t freeze properly which had to be thrown out. I purposely left items in the freezer so they could see it wasn’t freezing and it was still a debateI was able to stick my finger through my texas toast First, Stephanie walked in with an attitude.. almost like how dare you interrupt my day with your need for an essential appliance.. I was gonna get to it.. no phone call or email.. I’m just sitting here guessing. Dishwasher that doesn’t wash the dishes properly because the detergent door doesn’t close on top of being really really old.. I was told to just change the type of detergent I used at least pretend like you care about other things than your direct deposit sir and ma’ams. Update as of 12/13/2025 Things that changed since My original review: I got a new fridge and dishwasher! Preventative maintenance started on property which as far as I know since I’ve lived here has never happened so kudos. Things that haven’t changed: The security gates (we have 3) now all three are wide open.. On 12/12 into 12/13 there were helicopters circling the area right above and around Amber Chase. With not one gate working to help make our living arrangements safe. The entrance gate and the gate by fitness center have been broken for a while now since before October. I was told the property manager would love to address my concerns lol the really major concerns still haven't been addressed. The security gates and my stove.Property Manager Responded

My tour guide was Denise and she helped me figure out which price range would work for me. The apartment I saw was very cute and clean. management and maintenance is awesome
December 26, 2024I have lived on this property now for over a year and never had an issue the property is always clean and I always feel safe. I am a single young lady and the other day I had to stop in the office to handle some work that I wanted to have done in my apartment . Nothing major my dish disposal was backing up from something I put down the sink (I can admit) two of the leasing consultants were on the property showing units and I spoke with Mrs. Samuels who immediately met me to help resolve the ...issue she is the asst manager of the property and was clearly very busy and she took the time to stop and speak to me and to make sure my needs where met. She even inquired on how my day was going. I told her I was stepping out and wanted to see if they could send someone to fix it. She assured me it would be handled and I was probably gone 45 and in that time frame she had sent the maintenance man down to take care of it and he had been in and out and left the service repair order with a smiley face that said have a great day and it had been repaired! Thank you Mrs. Samuels Y'all are the best! Small things matter. I will be renewing my lease !Property Manager Responded

Not worth the price.
September 11, 2021As someone who has lived here for 3 years. The complex is not worth the price. The pool is almost ALWAYS closed. The gym is outdated with equipment that only sometimes works. The gate is almost always broken or open. On the plus side is that the maintenance men are nice and helpful and Xavier in the leasing office is always nice and helpful but other than that. Disappointing since it changed from First Communities to GREYSTAR
April 24, 2018I have been a resident of this community since 2015. While living in an apartment community has it's set of challenges wherever you go, for the most part, my stay at Amber Chase was relatively satisfactory under First Communities. That is much more than I can say for current management and staff of GREYSTAR. Maintenance is a NIGHTMARE. I have submitted several maintenance requests. That is not an issue in itself. The issue is when the maintenance staff marks the work as done, but hasn't performed ...the work. This is a constant occurrence. In addition, maintenance has entered the premises and looked at my oven while I was not home, and my minor children were there! Who does that Regular maintenance has occurred on my apartment with no previous communication that anyone would be entering my home. Dirty filters from the routine maintenance that was performed was left on the side of my apartment for days and not removed until 4 days after contacting the main office. The trash dumpster is constantly overflowing, begging for arranged pickup to be twice a week. In addition the staff is unresponsive at best. Upon their initial takeover, the phones automatically forwarded to voicemail during working hours and stated that you contacted them outside of working hours. To fix it, I had to contact the corporate office. I also had to contact the corporate office to get a smoke detector fixed....REALLY! Now if my family of 5, including 3 children would have burned in a fire, then what It takes an act of Congress to invoke a sense of urgency in the staff. These folks really should not be in the customer service business. I hate to leave a community such a bad rating, as much of my stay was enjoyable, but GREYSTAR, renters have choices, and I would never again choose, or recommend your properties. Great Place to Live
November 5, 2015I have lived here for two years and I can honestly say that the office staff is very professional. I have no complaints what so ever. Miron is the best maintenance man around He is polite, friendly, neat and He gets the job done. My neighbors are friendly and we all get along as well as speak to one another and respect one another. I would recommend this place to anyone from single, to just married or who has a family. The apartments are clean as well as spacious with nice curb appeal that They ...take care of very well.
