Horrible sound proof
November 7, 2022The apartment is fine but the sound proof is horrible. We can literally hear every word our neighbors spoke. My suggestion is choose your neighbors wisely.Review from Apartments.com
Great spot, especially for North Grounds students
February 4, 2021New management took over these apartments at the start of 2020 and they've been great. They're extremely responsive and they've made a number of big investments in the properties (new backyard fences, new windows, new roofs, and repaved parking area). This is a great spot for Darden/Law School students in particular. Quick walk to both schools, North Grounds rec center, Barracks Road shopping center, and the main UVA arena. There is also nearby access to the Rivanna Trail, and the Corner/Main ...Grounds is only a 15-20 minute walk. The apartments are spacious, with big living rooms and nice backyards that, while not huge, have enough space to enjoy (and are unique among the Arlington Blvd options). Each apartment has 2 reserved parking spots in front of it and an in-unit washer/dryer. Some drawbacks are that the spaces are a bit dated (though I think management is making some updates as people move out), there is only one bathroom, and the kitchens do not have dishwashers. There also isn't a lot of counter space, but I bought a cheap IKEA kitchen island which fits well. I lived here for 3 years during grad school and was very happy with my unit. They aren't necessarily cheap, but the rent is fair for the location/amount of space (better deal than the Pavilion). There aren't amenities, but you'll know people who live at the nearby complexes with pools (and that's the only amenity most people really make use of). You'll be close to the hubs of the grad school social scenes, but the complex itself is much quieter.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Poor Management and No Amenities
May 27, 2020It's close to Darden, but management is extremely difficult to work with. Pipes leak, the air conditioner doesn't work, wifi can be spotty. Live somewhere else.Review from Apartments.com
