Lived there for almost 5 years before things got really bad in the past two years. Management only cares about renting their apartments regardless to whom ! Filled almost 10 complains with all the evidences, pictures, recording, Videos and never done anything about it. Some night had to call police three times just to get some sleep. Kids running around the building at 11pm

First two years went alright. The last couple of months have been terrible. I have had 4 different leaks in the span of a little under two months. Each leak took maintenance 2 to 4 visits before successful repairs were made. Mold was growing on the walls from the leaks and they just sprayed it with KILZ and then painted over. The closet in the master bedroom is on an external wall and there is no insulation. It gets just as cold in the closet as it is outside. Complaints to management about ...
how long maintenance issues take to resolve fall on deaf ears. They only care about making a dollar and are not willing to break lease early if you have repeated issues with the apartment.

Aspen Lodge in Overland Park, KS-I live in a one bedroom and I will say it is the biggest one bedroom that I have lived in; however the kitchen could be a little bigger. I have two closets in my bedroom (which is pretty big), one being a walk in closet (big enough to fit a tall dresser) and a regular closet which is the length of 3/4 of the bedroom. I do feel safe in my apartment, but I would like if my door had two locks, rather than just a pad lock. That's just a personal preference. From a ...
distance, the buildings look nice and the lawn is kept up very nice. But when up close to the buildings, the paint is chipping and the age of the buildings show. The appliances are also old, but maintenance here is absolutely AWESOME. There is a website where residents can log in to pay rent and file maintenance requests. Maintenance guys are super fast to respond and very nice. This may be a deal breaker for most-- I have seen several brown recluses in my apt., but when I told the office, they sprayed and I have not seen as many since then. I hate spiders! As for price- it is reasonable for Johnson County, but I think it is a little high for the age of the complex. Amenities aren't bad- pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. Gym is not that great but they are buying new machines gradually.
